They do mini updates almost every day, but the major updates are made around every 18 months or so.

I can't say for sure, as if I have a clue what google is up too, but I can tell you on a website I have, the PR just went from 0 to 3 yesterday. I don't know if PR is in their update algorithm or not or anything like that but maybe this helps you.

Why do you care about your PR updating? (even though its not actually updating).

It will not help you in anyway, unless you are selling the website..

I waiting the PR update in some websites (lots of PR7 backlinks). I think they will give a PR 4 at least or maybe even a PR5.

Most people say PR is nothing but its good to have a medium to high PR.

Once the age comes to your website and more backlinks are counted it will stand like a rock in the serps.

Note, i going for a high competitive niche, so I need a PR and age.

So, bought an old domain and now only the PR is missing. Believe, That ill mean more $$$ in my pocket.
