For the phone farm pros running physical phone farms with 10+ of the same device model. Are there any risks at all in not having varied models or is it way too broad for IG for example to make any linkages between the phones.

Say im running 10 samsung s22 (all have their sim) for gore theme pages

vs

10 varied samsung models (s22; a15; a16 etc..) also for gore theme pages

Obviously I know having varied is always better but does it really make a difference? Could they actually link the phones together if its 10 samsung s22's for example instead of 10 varied models?

Honestly, using all S22s is fine if your setup’s clean — SIMs, proxies, and accounts separated. Model variety helps a bit, but IG mostly flags network, behavior, and account patterns, not phone model.

no problems at all , we have a phone farm with 82 same models.
thats a decent sized farm. whats the average price of those phones?

I only buy used Xiaomis or similar on eBay.... always on the lookout for devices with broken displays that cost an average of $5 to $30... You just have to make sure that they will receive updates for at least a year...

wow, that,s nice.
Could you please tell me where did you learn to setup a phone farm ? i just want to make one ( start slow with 5-10 phones, then increase)
But i have no idea how to start.

Thank you!

my phones on average costs a bit over $150, did I overkill? I wonder what the average price is for people with phone farms

Forums, YouTube, but mainly Chinese forums.... it was a struggle to get the rig and software running. I store all the phones (Mainboards) in a rig (rig also from china). For SIM cards, I’m using Lebara or similar providers, which cost me an average of $3.99 per month for 25 GB and a phone number (per Sim). I’m not using a VPN or any other methods, just real SIM cards.

For sure overkill...

Problem is im looking to get reach on IG/TT and I want my farm to last a while so newer mid range phones are the best for that, wouldnt you say so? The longer the OS and security updates the better (wont get outdated for years on end)

Is it for posting and growing each account or spamming?

Yes, it can make a difference. Using 10 identical devices (same model, firmware, behaviour patterns) increases your footprint. Varied models help diversify that digital signature, especially if each uses different SIMs, IPs, and app usage patterns.

Yes, using all the same model makes it easier for Instagram to link the devices. Mixing models adds randomness and lowers the chance they get flagged together. So, it does make a real difference.
