My channel got flagged for reused content, even though I edited clips heavily. Anyone found a way to appeal successfully or prevent it from happening again?

If it is getting flagged for copyright infringement then it means you just can’t use such content regardless how heavy you edit it. Best you use content with re-useable rights which wouldn’t get flagged.

YouTube’s reuse rules can be tough. Editing clips helps, but they want original value like commentary or your own twist. For appeals, explain clearly what you added and why it’s different. To avoid it, focus on adding real personal input, not just cutting and pasting.

It’s tough, but try submitting an appeal explaining the edits you made and how your content adds value. Also, mix in more original commentary or unique angles to make it stand out even more next time.

If you did editing or inprovement in video, you will win the appeal.

Appeal methods work 99% of the time, if you show them a step by step process of how your adding transformational value to the content your re-using, show them a process of how you edit your videos, how you get the ideas and etc and yes do let them know that you do borrow ideas from other channels but that you add your own transformational value to it.

YouTube now checks real originality, so mixing reused clips with unique commentary and new visuals works better than heavy edits alone.

Those relying on heavy editing should say goodbye to their channels?

What's your editing process? Heavy editing alone often isn't enough...
To successfully appeal, you must add significant original value (e.g. this means your own voiceover, on screen text explanations and unique graphical overlays). The final product should be transformative, not just a compilation.
