Do Affiliate Managers Actually Help Affiliates — or Just the Network?

I’ve been running a few CPA and CPL campaigns recently, and something’s been bugging me.

Every time I ask my Affiliate Manager for better payouts, faster approvals, or details about scrub rates — I get vague answers like “let me check” or “it’s out of my control.”

So it got me thinking...
Are AMs truly there to help publishers succeed?
Or are they mainly protecting the network’s margin and advertiser relationships?
Has anyone here actually had an AM who really went the extra mile to help scale your campaigns?

Would love to hear honest experiences — both good and bad.

Depends on network to network. Some networks approve every offer. Some don't tell hight converting offer. Some push offers that make them money. You gotta read reviews before promoting a network and what you want. You need to prioritize what you want.

Yeah, it really depends on the network, to be honest. The more traffic you push, the more they’re willing to help. Kinda sucks, but that’s just how it is... btw what vertical are you running?

Had one AM who actually helped me scale dating offers. gave insights, tested creatives, and boosted my cap. That’s when I realized how valuable a good AM can be.
