Hi everyone! I'm new to this community (but not IM) ad have spent the last week reading pretty much everything.

I have a question which I think quite a few of you guys could answer. There are many threads touching on this topic but I don't think there are any good answers. I have a problem with my links (web 2.0 properties and forum profiles) not being indexed. When I started with linkwheels and forum signatures (a la Angela and Paul) everyone said they'd be indexed on their own so I let them be. I did this in February-March. Today they are still not indexed (maybe 5 out of 70 or so links are). I've done RSS submission (used hostmyrss to make a feed out of it and submitted to aggregators with RSSbot and pinged. I've used those scrapebox 33k link list (static pages) for like 1k static links to each of my own links, I've used several php scripts ppl have posted on BHW for getting indexed but NOTHING.

I seroiusly doubt that there's not a single person here that knows how to get these type of links indexed reliably. I've tried most methods and they have not worked. Please guys, help me out. I'm so frustrated that all the time spent making these links went to waste.

Best,
hopkin

First off how do you know they are not indexed? What are you using to check this?

I'm a tad confused about the specific question you have. Are you hair-pulling because:

1) Backlinks to your site are not being counted; or

2) Pages on the site are not being indexed?

Here's my experience. Like you I learned and did the old stuff to build backlinks.

When I enter the site name in google -- "dr-dogberts-seo-bootcamp.org" it shows 20,000 inbound links.

When I look specifically at the inbound links google has listed, it reports 4.

But, at the same time, google has indexed over 100 internal pages for the site.

So I'm obviously doing something right to get my pages indexed, and the number of pages has climbed steadily for the past several weeks since I first listed the site.

But the links are just not sticking.

I don't have a problem indexing my own pages. It's that my BACKLINKS (your option 1) don't get indexed.

Try Ping your backlinks with scrapebox

cheers

Pinging anymore just seems like a drop of water in an ocean. Doesn't do much, at least in my experience. Even the RSS technique has been deflated very, very quickly.

Search for Backlink index express (BIE) in the download section.

Don't you mean BIE? Backlink Index Express?

It's a nice little ap, as long as you have disposable blogs :)

Guys, isn't there anyone on this forum that knows a good and reliable way to make your profile links count? Everyone says to use them but it seems ppl are bullshitting.

OK, I get that you are frustrated but you need to make sure not to rub people the wrong way. First of all, if you used any method shared here it was probably all you needed to do. And stop fretting about 70 profile links you make 5 months ago. So what if those are not being indexed stopped worrying about them and work on getting more backlinks. Its all a numbers game. Just keep throwing everything at the wall and something will stick.

If you only get 5 of every 70 indexed then use that as a benchmark. That means you will need to create 7000 profile links. Lets see, 5 months means 1400 profiles per month. Assuming every month is 30 days you need to make 47 profiles per day. That is nothing! I would spend the same amount of time creating 47 forum profiles manually as I would reading the newspaper on the toilet.

So here is what you do. Lets say you only have 70 forums to create profiles on. The first thing you do every single day should be creating 70 new profiles, make sure you fill out all the info but do not add in any links at all. Now lets say that aside from profile creation you have 2 hours per day to dedicate to IM. Spend that time reading a recommended ebook on here. I suggest SEO Footprints to start off. After going through the ebook spend what is left of your time searching for new forums to create profiles on.

You should be able to pick up 5 new forums every single week. Yeah, you could get more but only go for forums whose main site has a pr of at least 3. Sometimes I grab up new forums without any pr info if they look like they are well maintained and are worth investing my time into. Anything with a pr of 0, 1 or 2 means a pr update came around the webmaster could not get even a pr 3. In this case, to me, they don't know what they are doing and probably will never go higher. Pr of 3 gives nice juice and shows potential.

If profile creation is your thing than this is all you need to do day-by-day to make it work for you. After the first month go back to the profiles you created on the first day and add in your links. Now, everyday you will create new profiles and add in links on the profiles you created exactly one month previously. You will also have at least 20 new profiles to create from your daily scraping. Two months from today you should have several pages on the first page of results for different keywords. Good luck.

Are you kidding me? I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. You obviously devoted quite some time to write that answer. However, did you read my initial post? You just wasted your time telling me how to make profile links; I have no problems making them, that was not my question at all. Next time you make a post, read the question please.

I've also already STATED that I've done many of the methods written here to get the backlinks indexed, and none of them worked. I wanted to know what people are doing the get them indexed for real since I've tested pretty much everything else many times and it has never worked.

Thanks for the BIE suggestion. I'll try it out.

I am with hopkin on this one. let's say you do a Xrumer run and have 2500 backlinks - what is the best most efficient way to get them indexed.

I am completely stumped with this question. I really like Backlink Booster but it only does one at a time and since it stopped working with ping.fm it is not very valuable anymore.

I will take a look at BIE but I am skeptical of it being able to do a large volume of backlinks. God, I hope I am wrong!

Use social bookmarking. After making each profile, I ping them with pingomatic, then bookmark them with Delicious, Identi, Connotea, Diigo, and a few others. Prior to that - I've used Scrapebox to build a few thousand backlinks to each social network profile, so they have PR, and google crawls them actively. out of about 500 profile backlinks, I've gotten about 350-400 indexed so far. Others will get indexed eventually.

I seldomly take care about the question if my backlinks are indexed. Have outsourced profile linking since quite a while and in the beginning I tried to control the indexing. Happend to me as to you - could not find much but my rankings were rising with every blast - that's the only thing of importance to me, the rest is a waste of time.

Interlink slightly your properties / profiles, and then make xrumer backlinks to them
