I know it's risky to post links on comments, but is it as risky to post an email address? Would like to know from someone that has tested this and also if they found better success editing it in later like people suggest to do with links?

I avoid posting emails publicly, use DMs or ask people to message you first to avoid bots and spam

They might see it as doxxing. I don’t think it’s a good idea. You can mention the website without adding a link, just tell people to Google the domain name if it’s indexed. For example: facebook(dot)com

Mails in comments get flagged especially on newer accs. Platforms treat anything that looks like outreach or off site contact as spam, it’s not just on Reddit. A safer trick is to obfuscate it a bit like name [at] domain [dot] com or something of the sorts.

Thank you! While on the topic, I had another related question and didn't want to create a new thread just for it. Is it safer to add an email to the profile description, in a similar obfuscated fashion? How about adding links there?

No worries, you can add anything to your bio. But I think most of the users are using short URL for this.

Still depending on the account age, Reddit frowns at links even on bios.

Methods were shared here for successfully running Snapchat and Reddit with such an idea.

Maybe that flooded the bio so even that needs an aged account but the email on bio could work irresponsible if account age as it's an unpopular one at the moment.

All the best...
