I'm glad this forum exists, I am going to be on the lookout for Etsy reviews. I'm in the process of making some digital products for Etsy and will need a bunch of reviews. I want to learn about the typical pricing range and tips & tricks on how to do this successfully. I'm okay with buying and reviewing too.

The Etsy products I am making are purely digital downloads made by myself with Canva and AI, not ready yet to publish but already want to inform myself about the review process, since that will be one of the most important steps

Until now I've been making some side money with publishing stories on Amazon KDP and Smashwords/D2D, but want to expand to Etsy with digital products

Just a heads up: buying reviews on Etsy is actually against their policies and can put your shop at risk. The safer approach is to focus on getting organic reviews from real buyers. Some ways that usually work well:

• Make your product listings really clear with attractive mockups.
• Offer a small bonus or variation so buyers feel they’re getting extra value.
• Provide quick and friendly customer support—people often leave reviews when they feel taken care of.
• Run a small promotion or discount at the beginning to attract your first buyers.
• Share your products on social media or Pinterest to drive more traffic.

Once you get a few happy customers, the reviews will start coming more naturally. It takes a little time, but it’s much safer long-term for your shop’s reputation.

Thanks for the heads up, that was my original intention. However, as soon as I was researching my competition I noticed a huge amount of their reviews are ChatGPT/low effort 5 star reviews which partially don't even reflect on the bought product, which makes me believe I don't stand a chance to gain a significant amount of organic sales to generate proper reviews. That's why I wanted a small boost with paid reviews...

So what does that mean exactly about all the services selling Etsy reviews? Is it way too risky?
