When I look to hire freelancers, I have them write a sample article for me for free. If I like it, I hire them. They hardly ever refuse

When I send out these messages, I fully intend on hiring them, unless their content sucks. Whether you have the same intention is up to you, but regardless, it's a good way to get free content

somebody already recommended this on bhw and its rather trying to trick the writer but your trick would only work with desperate writers:p

lol i do this too. what i do is i ask them to write 3 sample articls for me. Why 3? So i can see if they are capable of meeting deadlines ;) Around 80% of the writers agree do it.

isn't it cheating?

It's not really cheating as such, because cheating is taking the odd shortcut, (which is what BTW is all about).

It's just really bad business ethics . . . which will inevitably come back and kick them in the kahoona's!!

The easiest way has to be to use a free article writing bot

What I normally do is go to wikipedia and copy / paste about 2-3 paragraphs for my keywords into an article spinner, then just use that.

It takes about 2-5 minutes for a 350-450 article.

I used the SEO Link Vine article spinner that comes with the service, but I don't use their service anymore.

Then do you submit these articles for upfront payment, and, if you do, what is their acceptance percentage? Just wondering. Thanks.

I think you can ask the writers to give the url or pages write ups that they have been did before and trust me they will agree but in your trick i think they will refuse since you will ask them to write and submit to you, that tricks looks like scam to them.

The Best Spinner will do the job. You tricking writers into writing for you is just going to make you a bigger leach and degrade your skills.

you're one of those guys on odesk and guru that get free articles... shame on you.

Smarter writers are on to the BH "gimme free stuff" scam, and counter the buyer's offer by providing existing published samples, or requiring full or partial payment upfront. Most of the time, the writers also have longer established reputations or i-traders than the buyers allegedly hiring them, so if anything it's the buyers who need to demonstrate credibility.

If you do run a BH "writers wanted" ad or contest to get articles, at least say only the provider of the best sample will get hired, and really hire that person. That way the 'contestants' accept upfront they are giving up a free article, thus taking the 'unethical' edge off of you for using their work.

Good call man. I might have to give this a shot because I currently am kind of looking for a writer! :D

Thanks for this tip dude.

It is always better to go for paid services for quality product. I too do recommend TBS

Lol.. Good luck with the quality of work with this method. I for instance never do free samples. My samples are already on my website.

At the very most, if I find a potential client with a well-established website and good professionalism and all, I charge a $2 or $3 upfront fee to get the work done, take rest of payment after work is delivered, but then I require a testimonial of the work (as in, it's not optional :P ).

But free..? Nah, your method won't work on me :P

if you take the time to think about those people you cheat..most of these people are in serious need of money and they desperately try to do anything to earn their living..they maybe in tough times and they need the money for their families so they sit on their computers all day writing articles with a language that is not even their first language....what you think they do that for?..they want to earn living...and after all of that you come with ur dishonest stupid lie to scam them..

and pls for people that will say this is bhw pla pla pla....blackhat'in is totally different than scamming people out of their time and effort
