Hey everyone.

Long time user, first time posting. I have reason to believe that my companies ads are being bot farmed by a large competitor who was less than pleased that we expanded into their region.

I have run click cease for years in 2 other countries and thought I would log in and check. Our new region has a TERRIBLE conversion rate whihc wasnt budged by even the most advanced CRO, consulting, content. Its just never budged. Now we are seeing up to 50% of our traffic is coming from 'fraudulent devices'. I have other regions with nowhere near this amount.

Is this likely to be a planned bot attack on our ads? How do I stop it, aside from getting a refund. I dont just want the money back I want the leads moving forward.

Thank you so much for this. It would not shock me in the slightest if this was the case. So thought I would come here to ask.

Cheers

It sounds like you’re dealing with some serious click fraud. You might want to try using IP exclusion or blocking fraudulent IP addresses through your ad platform’s security settings. If you're using Google Ads, consider enabling Google’s Click Fraud Prevention features. It could help mitigate the issue moving forward.

On which ad platform they give refunds for fradulent clicks? I had several and showed proof but the CS did not give a refund or an ad credit even

Ive had refunds on google before. I also have a very large budget so have more direct contact than most with our account manager who actually cares about keeping us on the platform.

You should use an anti click fraud tool like clickpatrol or there are many others.

But this is definitely click fraud which can jeopardize your campaigns

traffic from google is getting worse and worse quality, i am looking for other source instead of depending on this google ads

Yeah, that’s classic click fraud, tighten targeting and use a solid tracker to block fake hits.
