Do you guys notice a difference on new account performance between IOS and Android? For example on a fresh iPhone you can create a Tik Tok and instantly get views without warming up. Is this possible on Android?

Depends, on Android, sometimes TikTok want you to record from camera first

Yeah, Tik tok is no longer looking for just IP. They are also checking for your advertisement ID and other device identifiers making farming on an iPhone difficult without sideloading. A reputable galaxy with island or shelter should alleviate this issue assuming it can get instant views like an IPhone with a solid proxy setup.

With android you can do that too; however, you may need to download an app cloner that can spoof all the fingerprints of that device so that you can create a new account without any history of the previous account. That should help with views.

What is Island/Shelter and how do they help? And where can you get them from? Thanks.

Available on android, it allows you to separate your apps with a new advertising ID and keychain data.

Where do you get it on Android? It doesn't look like it's in the Google Play store, either of them.

Yes, TikTok’s algorithm tends to favor new accounts on iOS more often, giving them a faster reach boost. Android accounts can get views too, but usually require more “warming up” through activity and engagement before the algorithm pushes them widely. It’s not impossible on Android, just generally slower out of the gate.

Is it something that TikTok ask you directly or is it something you have discovered?

Can I also message you about it, please? I don´t know about Island/Shelter

Yeah

iOS leaks way less data, so TikTok struggles to fingerprint you. That’s why fresh iPhone accounts always perform better than Android ones.

Yeah, there’s definitely a difference. iOS accounts often get a boost early on, while Android usually needs a bit more warm-up before views pick up.

iPhone accounts get a quicker boost on TikTok because the algorithm tends to trust them more from the start. Android accounts need more activity to get noticed and usually take longer to gain traction, but they still get views just slower.

Yes, there’s often a noticeable difference. iOS accounts tend to get quicker traction, likely due to better initial engagement signals. With Android, you might need to warm up the account more gradually. The platform’s algorithm seems to favor fresh iOS accounts, while Android accounts might take a bit more time to gain momentum

This right here.

Basically if you reject the app tracking prompt, they can collect much less data of you.

However, they still have access to your:

- ip address
- what phone you have
- ios version
- build version
- locale version
- country

and if you accept it they will get way more data.

i have many apps as well and I also do track the users and to prevent API abuse I also have an algorithm that shadow bans / soft bans users. So the performance of my apps will be limited if the user has more than 2 accounts (based on the IP). More than 3 accounts means auto-ban.

100% certainty apps like TikTok have even wilder rules in place.

Once you start thinking about it from an software developer perspective you will know how you can game their shadow bans, etc.

Unique phone, unique account, unique internet connection. Basically all meta data unique (different from your other accounts). Huge plus for aged phone verified accounts.

Yes, new iOS accounts often get initial boost on TikTok, probably due to device diversity and iOS bias. Android can work too, but usually needs some warming up (likes, follows, watch time) before getting similar reach.”

IOS is better but expensive, for doing farms like really a massive farm I go for Android and good residential/mobile proxies, also it should be with rotating IPs
