our team doesn’t rely only on semrush toxic score, it flags too much. they usually export the full list, remove low-trust tlds and spammy anchors, then cross check with ahrefs or majestic. manual review is still the most reliable part of the process.

I use a mix of tools+ manual checks to be safe, no single tool is perfect.

Export all backlinks and check for patterns like exact-match anchors or low quality domains.
