AI slop is killing forums especially this one..

LLMs are killing forums and social media, especially this forum.

Not long ago, you could start a thread and expect to get real answers from people, even if they wrote in broken English it was still better than the AI slop that we see now. Every thread you click into now has maybe a couple of genuine replies and then the rest is flooded with ai generated useless replies with the same empty phrasing or just copying the previous replies and not adding anything to the discussion. I know people will say just to leave the forum then or ignore those replies but it's hard because I've been here for over a decade now and this is the only community I've actually put a lot of my time into. Anyone else feel the same?

I agree and started a similar thread earlier. Report them and the mods delete them. I started doing this, and the mods take action.

The account farming with obvious rephrasing another user's answer is so obvious it's embarrassing.

True, they don't even know how to prompt properly. None of those replies, or the way they worded things fit a forum like this. No one writes "a monetized US YouTube account is a tempting proposition for many" lmao

especially from a 2 year old account not just some newbie posted

Not really , this forum gets millions of traffic per month and the number 2 gets a couple of thousand traffic per months. Thats like 1%.
I got 10k+ posts not a single one is AI.
You just gotta get use to scroll pass junk posts.
The problem takes care of itself.
Rest of it mods take care of.

That's our job.

People behind useless AI content either because we are taking them down every day , while I'm replying here for example

@Dresden as you said, with more than a decade being part of BHW we expect to see reports from you about this spammers, to keep the forum clean and online for many more decades .

@wizard47 as a BST seller you must review your thread to keep it clean and without spam, is your thread right? Just keep things in the right place, report those spammers and your thread will be intact and safe.
