Let's suppose I have a website I want to rank for the keyword "Best Restaurants in Delhi". If I make a rule of posting a new freshly handwritten blog post each day with the keyword "best restaurant in Delhi" in it and link it with my homepage each time. Would that be too much?

BTW it's not the number of links that matter but the quality of links. The algo's have changed and relying just on links may not be as effective as it used to be. you need to pay attention to the social signals as well.

That's a very common question, and while there's no fixed number for "too many" links, your proposed strategy is highly risky. Google would likely see this as keyword stuffing and a manipulative tactic. The frequent use of the exact same anchor text from new, potentially thin content can lead to a penalty.
The best strategy is to create a variety of high-quality, topically relevant content that naturally links to your main page. Use different, descriptive anchor texts (e.g., "Delhi's best Indian restaurants") and focus on building a natural internal linking structure that helps users find related content.

Google values variety, not clones. A hub page + different angles around Delhi food will get you much further.

that’d look spammy fast. Google will see the same anchor/keyword repeated over and over and it won’t help rankings. Better approach is to mix it up—different angles, related keywords, internal links to other pages too.

Using the same internal link too many times can hurt SEO, so change the anchor text and link naturally for better long-term results.

Yes, if you post every day with the same keyword and link to your homepage over and over, search engines may think you're spamming and lower your rankings. Instead, write high-quality, original content that uses keywords naturally and has a variety of internal linking strategies.

Yes, posting daily with the exact same keyword and linking to your homepage can look spammy to search engines. Focus on quality, variation, and natural linking

I think linking every post to the homepage with the same keyword might look overdone. It’s better to keep it natural, mix up anchors, and spread links to other pages too.

It’s not about how many links you add, but how naturally they fit. If you keep using the exact same keyword every day, it can look spammy. Mix up the anchor text, place links where they make sense for readers, and focus on quality over quantity.

There’s no fixed number for internal links. Google doesn’t penalize you for having ‘too many,’ but the key is relevance and user experience. As long as the links are natural, helpful, and make sense in the content, you can add plenty. Personally, I try to keep it balanced – usually 50–100 internal links across a long article is fine if the content supports it. The main thing is that the page shouldn’t look spammy or confusing.

You can add as many as you want, as long as they look natural and don't appear to have been added forcefully.

And the link you are interlinking they should make a context when adding them.

If you link to the homepage the same way, Google may not like it, so change the text and make it feel natural.

Yes it can appear unnatural to use the same keyword every day with constant links instead it is preferable to switch up your topics and maintain natural linking

It’s not really about the number but about balance too many links with the same anchor can look unnatural. Mixing anchors and spreading links across relevant pages usually works better

There is no exact numerical limit, as "too many" internal links
depends on page length and user experience. However, a general
guideline is to aim for 3-10 links per 1,000 words and focus
on relevance,

Repeating the same keyword daily will look spammy. Better to make one strong page for 'Best Restaurants in Delhi' and build supporting articles around related topics, then link them back to your main page to build topical authority.
