Hey guys,

I’ve been studying Google’s latest algorithm updates, and one factor that keeps coming up is E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).

From what I’ve noticed in my projects:
  1. Author Profiles Matter – Having a real author with credentials seems to improve trust.
  2. Content Depth – Well-researched articles covering a topic in detail perform better than shallow content.
  3. External Signals – Mentions, citations, and even brand reputation outside your site add weight.
  4. User Trust Signals – SSL, clear contact details, and a strong About page seem to reduce bounce and increase trust.
My question to the community:

Do you think E-E-A-T is now one of the strongest ranking factors, or is it still more about backlinks and on-page optimization?

Would love to hear your insights and real-world experiences.

I think E-E-A-T is becoming very important, especially for sites where trust matters. Good authors, detailed content, and trust signals definitely help. Backlinks and on-page SEO still matter, but strong E-E-A-T can make a noticeable difference.

E-E-A-T is definitely growing in importance, but I’d say it works alongside backlinks and solid on-page SEO rather than replacing them. A balance of both is key in 2025.

Yes, E-E-A-T is now one of the strong ranking factor.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree with all of you E-E-A-T has definitely become a strong factor, especially in niches where trust really matters. At the same time, backlinks and solid on-page SEO are still the backbone. From what I’ve seen, the best results come from balancing both: strong E-E-A-T signals + technical and link building fundamentals.

E-E-A-T is now a key ranking factor, as Google places more value on content that shows real experience, expertise, authority, and trustworthiness.

E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) is still very important for ranking in 2025. Google continues to reward content that shows real expertise, comes from credible sources, and builds trust with users. While it’s not a direct ranking factor like backlinks or keywords, strong E-E-A-T signals help your site stand out in competitive niches and improve long-term visibility.

E-E-A-T has evolved from a subtle signal to a core ranking pillar. While backlinks and on-page SEO are still foundational, E-E-A-T is now what helps your site stand out in a sea of similar content. It's the difference between a site that ranks short-term and one that builds long-term authority. You can't just game the system with links anymore; you need to demonstrate genuine expertise.

Backlinks and on page SEO still drive visibility, while E-E-A-T signals decide which sites Google trusts most in competitive niches.

E-E-A-T has become a lot more important, especially in areas where trust really matters like health, finance or legal topics. But it hasn’t replaced things like backlinks or solid on-page work, it feels more like an extra layer on top.

E-E-A-T matters more in 2025, especially in YMYL niches

But backlinks, content quality, and site structure still carry weight

It’s not either/or — you need both authority signals and solid SEO

Yeah true, it’s really a mix. E-E-A-T builds trust but content + links are still the backbone. Balance is what works best.

I agree with both points backlinks and on-page get you visibility, while E-E-A-T adds that trust factor on top. It’s less about replacing and more about layering everything together, especially in competitive niches.

E-E-A-T is definitely becoming a major ranking factor, especially for YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) where trust and expertise matter most. While backlinks and on-page SEO still play crucial roles, Google’s focus on credible authorship, in-depth content, and user trust signals is growing stronger.

for a local website. It is the most important. you need to present your authority over your niche and service you are providing.

Backlinks and on-page still do the heavy lifting, but E-E-A-T helps your site stick and not drop. I see it more as a trust filter than a direct ranking boost.

Yes, E-E-A-T matters a lot now. Google likes real experts and trustworthy content. I've noticed pages with real author names and useful info rank better.

E-E-A-T is becoming a key part of how Google evaluates content quality, especially in competitive or sensitive niches. While it's not a direct ranking factor like backlinks or keywords, it strongly influences how trustworthy and helpful your site appears to both users and search engines.

Backlinks and on-page SEO still matter, but adding real author profiles, detailed content, brand mentions, and trust signals like SSL and contact info can make a big difference. E-E-A-T has become a central focus in many SEO strategies today.

E-E-A-T definitely plays a big role now. It builds trust and strengthens everything else you do — backlinks and content work better when the site shows real credibility.
