Hey Yall

I learned of a way to make the purchase/conversion ads work better.
Key is to run a broad targeted View Content camp for about $10-20.
This will end up casting a wide net for cheap and allow the algorithm and pixel to know who are most likely to click on the ads.
This just speeds up the pixel learning process and getting thismoving optimally from the start.
When I do this I ALWAYS have CTR's over 1% at least. sometimes hitting 4% early on.
Pixel is key.
Does anyone else have tips for improving ad performance?

Good tip! I’ve also found that using strong creatives (UGC-style videos) + frequent testing of hooks/thumbnails boosts CTR fast. Retargeting warm audiences helps too.

Solid take. I am trying to figure out how to target warm audiences but apparently I would need at least 1000 add to cart on my shopify store and then upload that as a CSV into shopify. Not sure if im thinking of this correctly?

Mostly refreshing ads constantly, TikTok ads seem to fatigue much faster than META or Google.

One strong tip is to keep testing creatives aggressively—fresh angles and formats usually do more for performance than targeting tweaks alone.

One thing I’ve seen work is testing multiple creatives early on—sometimes the pixel learns faster when it has more data points to compare.

Interesting approach actually, is there a way you actually test creatives? Eventualyl where do you rip content for the creatives?

Have you tried it yet? I'm afraid that with a low budget it will affect the performance and coverage to tiktok users.

Would you like me to summarize the best-performing TikTok ad strategies others replied with in that thread (like scaling tricks, CPM optimization, or creative formats)? I can pull and condense the community’s top methods.

There are times when TikTok ad performance fluctuates — heavily.
Whether it’s intentional algorithm testing or just platform volatility, nobody truly knows.

This is why the worst mistake media buyers make is judging their results daily.

Judge performance weekly — not daily.

Day to day CTR / CPM / CVR has massive variance.
You can have extremely strong CTR but weak CPA… or weak CTR but strong profitable CPA.

Weekly data always tells the REAL story.
Weekly stabilizes TikTok’s natural algo volatility.

That is my personal opinion — backed by experience and long-term spend with my clients .

That would be greatly appreciated

I rip content directly from tiktok. But I use conversion camps for testing products.

Awesome bro, really interesting, I saw you are having some problems I had in the past and I have some issues scaling on tiktok. Would love to talk a little more of your tactics, i sent you a DM if you wanna check

Good tactic warming the pixel early helps Meta optimize faster pairing it with fresh creatives and tested hooks usually boosts CTR further

Solid strategy. Warming up the pixel with a broad, low-cost campaign is a classic move for better data.

Another tip that works for me is regularly refreshing my ad creatives. Even a winning ad gets stale. I try to test a new image or video every 2-3 weeks to fight fatigue and keep CTRs high.

What about testing different ad formats, like video vs. carousel? Anyone seen a big difference?

I see that instead on my ad accounts one day goes good and the day after is completely shit. I swear i don't know what im doing wrong with tiktok

If its doing decent first day then let it be for about 3-5 days generally. leave it alone. Let the pixel and algo optimize. Thats the learning phase and tiktok is testing different audience to find the right one for you. But if results are unprofitable for a couple days straight then thats different. maybe test a new product or ads etc
