NSFW Link Posts Auto downvoted ??

Posts on one of my NSFW OF accounts seem to be getting auto downvoted in any subreddit. All posts start at 1 upvote like normal but after an hour drops to 0. Started 2 days ago after posting in a new sub (r/alternativeasians).

Has anyone else had this happen before?

i do manual upvoting on my own posts sometimes. I tried manually upvoting 10-20 votes yet after about an hour the post still will end up at 0.

I think the most likely reason is what you said.

sounds likely if the account was clearly like super spammy. but its pretty organic

bumping this thread with an informational update.

Made posts today by pasting the following link format to navigate to subreddits then using the create post button and had no issues with downvotes:

Previously I was copying and pasting this link format to navigate to subs:

my theory is that navigating directly to the link submission page is detected as spam/unnatural by reddit, causing them to do some sort of shadowban for that post.

It's similar to classic subreddit attacks or anti-promotion downvotes; it's especially common on OF content in new subreddits.

Curious about this as well…I’m considering adding every agency account I see to an auto-downvoter moving forward so these shady tactics starts to die down as a whole.

Avoid posting too frequently in a new sub until your account has some credibility.
