How this guys are getting a backlink from yale.edu?

I'm seeing that there are comments being posted on this URL:

I tried to comment but my comment goes directly for approval.

Wondering how they are posting those comments to get the link.

Most .edu blogs or campus sites put comments in moderation, so not every comment gets approved. Usually those links only stick if the site admin approves them, and many times they end up no follow. That’s why you might see some comments live while yours go pending.

I noticed the same on that Yale CampusPress page other comments are showing up while mine always goes to moderation. Curious how they’re managing to get theirs approved and live.

There are easily over 1500 links on that page - why on earth would you want to add your own? There will be no benefit whatsoever.

those links are no-follow. so not worth. plus there are 1.5K or more outgoing links so the link juice and weightage given by google to outgoing links is negligible or zero.

Edu sites usually moderate all comments, so only certain ones get approved. If you keep your content relevant, clean, and avoid spammy words, there’s a chance. Also, having connections or getting cited by someone the site already trusts helps.

They probably blocked new comments after spamming. You should try to post comments on new pages with less spam.
