Can’t Put Link in Facebook Ad – What’s Wrong?

Sometimes FB flags the domain if it’s new or has a history. Try warming it up on posts first.

Check if your page content violates any policy. Even small things can trigger rejection.

Using tracking parameters or affiliate links? FB dislikes direct affiliate links in most cases.

Try shortening the link or redirecting through a safe lander. That often solves it.

If nothing works, reach out to support but don’t expect quick approval; new domains take time.

I’m trying to run an ad but FB keeps rejecting it when I add my landing page link. I’ve double-checked policies, the URL looks fine, but still no luck.
Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?
Check if your domain has any previous violations. Even if your page is clean, Facebook sometimes blocks domains that were flagged before

Sometimes HTTPS issues or redirects can trigger the rejection. Make sure your URL goes straight to the final landing page without weird redirect chains.

I’ve seen FB block links if there’s too much affiliate stuff on the page. Try removing external scripts or pop-ups for testing.

If you recently bought a domain, Facebook might still be wary. I had to warm up a domain with some organic posts before ads were accepted.

Try running a link validator tool for Facebook. It sometimes shows issues that aren’t obvious just by checking the page manually.

Sometimes caching causes false rejections. Try clearing your page cache or creating a new landing page URL to see if it passes.

Ad copy can also affect it. Certain phrases trigger the link block, even if the URL is fine. Try simplifying the text and avoid super promotional language.

I once had FB block my link because the domain was using a free subdomain service. Switched to a proper .com and it went through instantly.

Use Facebook Support Chat if nothing works. Sometimes the link is fine but the account gets flagged, and only support can manually approve it.

If all else fails, create a lightweight landing page with minimal content and no affiliate scripts. Once it passes, gradually build it back up.

I usually paste the URL in a test post first; if it gets blocked there, it won’t work in ads either
