Most PR blasts are useless because they’re sprayed on irrelevant outlets. But when you target industry-specific news portals and mix in branded anchors, they still drive referral traffic + authority.

Not a silver bullet, but a good supporting tactic. what do you think?

I think you’re right. If you just blast PR everywhere, it doesn’t really do much. But on the right sites that actually fit your niche, it can still bring in good referral traffic and give the site a credibility boost. It’s not the main thing to rely on, but as part of the mix it’s worth using.

I agree, niche-relevant placements with branded anchors work much better. PR alone won’t rank you, but it’s a solid credibility and traffic booster.

Press releases (Digital PR) is definitely not dead; it's just evolved.

For certain niches, like finance and iGaming, it's pretty much a necessity for building truly authoritative links that move the needle.

You just can't get that kind of brand mention and link authority from traditional outreach in my experience.

Totally agree, PR blasts only make sense when they’re relevant. In the right niche they can send real traffic and add trust, but they work best as a complement, not the main strategy.

Do you think PR can work as well for the emergency restoration niche? haven't done it yet, but willing to try as a supporting tactic.

I agree with you on that. A well-placed press release in the right niche outlet can still bring solid traffic and credibility, especially when it ties into a broader marketing strategy.

PR alone won’t move the needle much, but when combined with niche targeting, it’s definitely worth it

@Danper12 Right, blasting everywhere kills value.

@Willsbmize Exactly, branded/niche anchors and relevancy make PR worth it.

@Sweely True, Digital PR is evolving. In tough niches it’s even more powerful.

@frageubaroi4gm Yep, PR builds trust and traffic, but works best with other SEO tactics.

@GreyFrogEX Worth testing in your niche good outlets bring both authority and visibility.

I think cheap pr is like cheap PBN where you get 400 blasts with only 30 dollars. These types of PR might not work as the high quality PR.

@cloakme Thanks for the response.
Do you have recommendations where I should look? I'm kinda new to all of this and don't have a lot of resources.

Totally agree targeted PR on niche sites with branded anchors can still bring solid traffic and authority. Not a magic fix, but definitely a smart move in the mix.

Totally agree, spray & pray pr doesn’t get much traction. When you focus on niche outlets, the traffic is way more relevant and the authority you build actually lasts. Feels like a great add on strategy instead of a standalone fix.

If there are too many links that drive too little traffic, then it's a spam signal. Targeted PR that drives traffic is definitely better.

Yes, I agree in principle. Most PR mailings are indeed like shooting sparrows with a cannon.

In general, PR blasts are good as part of an overall strategy. They won't work miracles on their own, but in combination with content marketing and normal SEO, they can support your position quite well.

The main thing is not to expect super results from them)) It's more about the long term and the authority of the domain.
