First business insight

Seems my niche of weightlifting, athletics, etc., isn’t good to pursue on Meta Ads

Regardless of proof and proper targeting. High ctr and no opt ins for free shit. Back to ofm
Are you a gym owner who wants to run ads to attract customers?

High CTR but no conversions usually means the issue is with the landing page or the offer, not the niche — refining your message, CTA, and trying remarketing will work better.

Strong clicks but weak conversions usually signal a gap in trust or relevance — tighten the ad-to-offer match, boost credibility, and retarget to win them back.

Industries like weightlifting and sports can have limitations when running ads on Meta Ads, even with clear targeting and quality evidence. If you have high click-through rates but no conversions, you may need to adjust your ad copy, landing page, or try a different platform that better suits your target audience.

Meta Ads: good for personal branding, community, cheap lead generation.
Google Ads (GDN/YouTube): better for shooting directly at customers in need, about your industry.

Yeah this is what I picked up on last week. Still tried one more week of testing. These comments above are chatgpt responses besides yours. Useless (not yours, the one I'm replying to). Trying to comment bait to sell their weak ass "service". Don't listen to them future forum members who see this post

for your field i think you should focus on a specific area for example within a suitable radius, to optimize and focus on customers with needs in that area, because currently i think there are quite a few similar business models to compete and most of the customers are around their area

I thought weightlifting would be a safer niche to run, but Meta seems way stricter with it than I expected

Yeah, I've noticed fitness niches can be tough to get conversions on Meta. Even with high CTR, people rarely convert on free offers

i agree. your type of campaigns is really hard to get good results on facebook. they are scanned easily

meta hates fitness niches, been like that. high ctr don’t matter if algo sees “weight loss/athletics” as risky vertical. they choke reach, crush conversions. even freebies get flagged or ghosted. better push content funnels, email capture outside, then retarget soft. direct angle on meta ain’t it.

Yeah. Thinking about the platforms too. The people who use it. Most likely not going to want to improve. Not really. My proof, even with niche specific videos for specific audiences didn't matter. I think GDN/ YouTube ads are better in this situation like the user mentioned above (Phoenix Agency). I came to that conclusion last week. Just one more week of tweaking what maybe could help. Nothing. a 5.2% ctr collectively on my campaigns is great from my understanding in this niche. Especially since I'm not marketing magic pills or some stupid spray that "claims is better than steroids".

Final Conclusion for my Niche: Meta is better for cheap fast "stuff". Whatever your cheap fast stuff is. Regardless of Proof. People seeking information, like on YouTube, or using GDN will be better, just more expensive. To be clear I have only been marketing all of my free stuff

What kind of targeting are you using? in this niche it'll hard to just convert on first try - run a campaign to just first get an audience and then maybe try re-targeting with fb pixel. I've seen nutra convert very well but they were more BH/cloaked campaigns so your mileage may vary.

I know how to cloak. For this, don't need it. I tried starting a legit business with my knowledge and proof. If people don't want free stuff, they won't click again. Have tried this, CTR just kept going down with retargeting. Ctr went from 9 - 5 - 2 - 1. Data shows me not worth it. If I flipped it, and said "hey I took this pill and that's how I got these results.". More people might click. Wanting easy. Again, was only marketing my Free Stuff. A lot of it too. Just not classic email marketing.

The only way to stand out with this, is free info and my proof. Which I didn't expect to be rich from it. I did expect at least some to click into the free funnel. Getting an official business running would be great, to then reinvest elsewhere. Meta Ads right now, just not worth it. Will try GDN / YouTube when I have the funds for it

Targeting I am using, tried everything. Even what I thought would be best, didn't do anything but give me the highest ctr. Slightly. If people don't want free info, then not the best platform to try to get future clients

Sometimes it’s less about proof and more about how the platform algorithm matches interest with ad content. Testing alternative creatives or trying broader audience layers could give a clearer picture.

1. You should build your personal brand/your gym brand.
2. This field should build a sharing channel on Youtube so that people in need can easily access and find you.
3. If you really want to advertise, Google Ads is a better choice.

I think this is a normal field, not a black product or a violation of Meta's policy. Please try changing the content to see if it is better.

Sometimes certain niches just don’t perform well on Meta Ads, even with solid targeting. It may not be about your setup but more about how Meta’s algorithm prioritizes niches.
