My ebook is done. How do I sell it?

Please guys, I am BRAND new here. Spent most of the night reading the forum for answers to my question, but found none.

I wrote 7 books, totally a little over 1,000 pages and just combined them into one download. It is directed to women:

Online dating
Revenge on an ex
Catch A cheater
Spot a liar
Dating info
etc.
etc.

I am very motivated to be the next internet millionaire story, but in need of guidance.

Is there anyone here with guidance on my next series of moves?

Na don't bother with dp - that's small time .

If it's a standout product first get a nice sales page designed by someone like http://designgururyan.com and then get a salesletter written for you and sell it through cb so that you can get a ton of affiliates promoting it for you etc...

However, if I were you I'd probably just focus on the whole cb thing.

Yeah, the ppc thing will not work for me at the moment due to a serious lack of funds.

I do need to have the site up for CB before I can apply to them. That should be done in a day or two.

Any pointers on getting a digital product accepted by them, and how to get affiliates to market it even though it is a new product?

It's hard "not" to get your product accepted by CB. They let people sell almost anything so that shouldn't be a problem.

As for getting affiliates to market it you'll want to start off by advertising your affiliate program at places like affiliate forums and directories (google can help with this). Be sure to get your hands on (or make yourself) some advertising material such as banners and articles to help your affiliates promote your site with as well - you want to make it as easy as possible for them.

If you start getting a good amount of sales your site and product will rise to the top of the CB marketplace and get exposed to the thousands of affiliates who are dying for the latest "killer" product to promote.

Judging from your first post, you probably have more content for a single product than any of your competitors. That can be a good thing for the reader once they have the package, not sure if it alone would get you more sales.

Plus, you may want to split the package. It is more marketable if it is targeted. E.G. "Online dating" and "Revenge on an ex" should under no circumstances be in the same package let alone the same small website.

You may want consider re-writing one of the parts you joined up into an article series to drive traffic to a particular website which then leads people to your sales letter for another product. E.G. You turn Spot a Liar into a series of articles, submit some to article directories, host some on your targeted website, then recommend Catch A cheater to that audience since it may be related. Meanwhile you have another website with a sleek sales letter for 'catch a cheater' and registered it with click bank.

Judging from the incomplete topics you listed, you should have 3 or 4 separate products. You have to segment your audience, the less distractions for them in your sales letter as you describe the content means everything you talk about is what they need. You will get more conversions.

Any surplus material you think cannot make a complete product on its own is a great bonus that you should mention towards the end of the sales letter.

Remember, only well known writers/authors/content-creators can sell bundled products.

I understand and agree with your point on splitting up the package. My reasoning for combing them all, was to more or less give a female ALL of the information needed to get on with her life.

The situation I had played out in my head was one of a woman being cheated on and left by her partner (as we all know is emotionally painful) and finds herself struggling to deal with it.

My books will give her a source of self help through self hypnosis scripts that she can use to rid the negative emotions, a revenge book that is filled with stories and tips to get her own revenge on the ex (the stories are to bring a smile to her face, some are funny, some are gross), a few informative resources on online dating do's and dont's, making the perfect online profile, how to find a guy through online dating, etc.

She will also learn through the package, all of the red flags in spotting a cheater, liar and abuser, so that she will not experience that emotional trauma again.

And also learn from a resource on creating the perfect relationship when she finally finds the "one"

I guess I wanted the book to be a "mini-mall" of information.

It (combined) is over 1,000 pages, and I was hoping that a price of, say, $39.99 would make it an easy sell.

I would really like to market it as a total package, but I understand your point more and more as I think about it.

I understand your desire to sell a total package, but in online marketing it is the sales letter that sells.

The more diverse the topic the harder for the sales letter to hit it hard and make a sale. It is not impossible, but hard.

I think, I know what you really want to do and if I'm on track and you want to stick with it then you should consider marketing it as a (stage by stage) guide to get the woman on her relationship feet.

This would give you the lee way market each stage/product on its own e.g stage 1, "How to spot a liar". All the way up to selling the whole mega package (Give it a unique exotic name). With such a structure you can use some well proven psychological sales tricks like "Get Stage 3 of [unique product name here] for $24.99" or "Get the full seven stages for $49.99"

Whatever you do, make sure you try to align by a similar model that has proven to work. Then, later on when you can take the financial hit, experiment.

hi there,

I suggest you to sell your ebooks separately instead of bundle them together. Like what BozoClown mentioned it is much easier to sell bundled products if you already have recognized by people as an "expert" in that niche.

here are my suggestions that are suppose to make you profit and create credibility at the same time:
1. Pick one of your ebook. Extract some of the content or summary your book into a short report or mini course. Mention your ebook in your short report or mini course.
2. Create a sale page with opt-in box for your ebook. Offer your short report and mini course for free to collect list.
3. Get your first ebook ready to sell. I would suggest to sell it at a low price like $27.
4. Drive traffic to your sale page. You may do it by write some relevant articles or using PPC. These are two of the most effective ways in my opinion. Anyway keep driving traffic to your site. You get what I mean.
5. Now take your second ebook, which is suppose to be related to the first one. For eg, your first ebook is "catch a cheater" and the second one is "spot a liar". You can see the link between them. This is important because whoever want to "catch a cheater" is also interested in how to spot a liar so you can sell your second book easier.
6. Create another sale page for your second ebook like what you do for the first and get it ready to sell.
7. Go back to your first ebook and cross promote your second ebook. The easiest way to do is to create a extra page in your first ebook to promote your second ebook.
8. Tell your list that you have a new product. Basically repeat the drive traffic cycle. The important thing here is to sell more to your existence customers and list instead of selling to new prospects.
9. Repeat the same thing for your 3rd, 4th etc ebooks.

If you do well, right now you already have some credibility in your niche. You can now:
1. Bundle your product and sell it at a higher price.
2. Create a new "hub" to sell all your products.
3. Expand your individual product into a more even more comprehensive kit. Sell it at a higher price.
4. Find high price affiliate product in your niche. Offer your product as a bonus to attract the prospects and earn the high commission.

All these techniques are learned from Jimmy's book. I picked out the what I think crucial (and definitely make profit) steps and added some of my opinions. You may want to search for his book for a more comprehensive reading.

To summarize all, there is only one thing you have to remember. Create a "system" that you can earn money over and over again. Do not be contented for "single sale" (even that you get a lot of sales) if you want to be next internet millionaire.

Pick up some Adwords and Facebook vouchers. Get some nice banners made up and put some advertising on sites that cater to women with the placement targeting part of Adwords.

Get creative with it, find out about advertising on sites like the dating site for that show Cheaters. Also check out iVillage and anything that has the word Oprah near it.

1000 pages is way too long, you would be better off letting your readers mix and match. Some is relevant some is not, if your product is good, they will buy all of them. Women are a great market when you can nail it.

I would like to know the success rate with marketing e-books to women, seems like a very tough sell.

Fun niche to be in

Sure, you could sell it on c*lickbank or pay dot com dot com or you can set up your own affiliate program to sell it using some affiliate script or system.

Separately, you could also set up a members' forum or a web2.0 type community site, so that your buyers can access and post to. This creates a much higher perceived value, I would think.

If you prefer to spend time than money prior to the launch date, you can write and post press releases, articles, set up web2.0 (blogger blogs, myspace profiles and others) profiles and create a ton of buzz about your new "program" (it's not an ebook it's a whole new way of living happier). After the launch, perhaps you can also list your product in an ama*zon store?
