I’m running Google Ads search campaigns and keep getting the message that my ad has a low Ad Rank for certain keywords. CTR isn’t too bad, but impressions are low and costs are climbing.
What’s the best way to improve Ad Rank without just throwing more money at higher bids? Has anyone managed to fix this by tweaking quality score, landing pages, or ad copy?

Ad Rank is mostly bid + quality score. If you can’t increase bids, focus on ad relevance and landing page quality.

If you don't increase the bid, you'll need to focus on improving the website's relevance and speed.

Landing page speed and relevance matter more than people think. Google factors that heavily into quality score.

Sometimes it’s easier to switch to less competitive long-tail keywords where Ad Rank is easier to maintain.

It's important to increase the quality evaluation score first

Match your ad copy tightly to the keywords, it helps Quality Score and impressions.

Yeah, boosting Quality Score helps more than raising bids. Make your ads tightly match keywords and improve landing page speed and relevance.

Pause underperforming ads and focus budget on high‑quality, relevant ones.

Keep your ad groups tightly themed; broad groups can drag down Quality Score.

Test responsive search ads—they let Google optimize combinations for better performance.

Monitor user experience on your landing page; even small UX fixes can lift Quality Score.
