Hello folks,

In 2025, are there still countries where LinkedIn doesn’t require ID verification (via CLEAR or Persona)?

I'm especially curious if it’s mandatory now to have a verified account to do basic things—like sending messages, applying for jobs, or even just posting. In the past countries like Canada doesn't force to verify account with ID. From what I know, CLEAR is mostly used in the U.S., and Persona covers only certain countries. So what happens if your profile is set to a region not supported by either? Do you get blocked from features, or can you still use LinkedIn as usual? Anyone here have insight or first-hand experience with counties which doesn't force to verify account with ID?

Thanks in advance!

Got hit with a Persona prompt last month (account set to Germany, used France proxy). Lost all DMs and couldn’t apply to jobs till I verified. Switched to a LATAM region since then, no issues so far.

Sorry about lost. Similar situation happen to me the last time so I switch into Canada region(but haven't used Linkedin for very long time - about year)but some sources quote that also Canada force nowadays into verification.

Well done, thank you for share this experience.

Sorry for not being of any help, hope you find a solution soon.

Not sure if they force you to do it (I am EU). But there was a time where they pushed the verification for a long time with the promise that “verified users get up to 60% more engagement and views.”

It was a lie, but at least they know people are real.

I also suppose they are happy if you just pay the subscription since you can only pay with a card IN YOUR NAME. You are not allowed to use someone else’s card.

So that is a form of verification in itself.

From what I’ve seen in 2025, LinkedIn’s ID verification requirements still vary quite a bit by region. In some countries, like the U.S., verification via CLEAR is common, while others use Persona or similar services. But in many regions, especially outside North America and Europe, LinkedIn hasn’t enforced mandatory ID checks yet for basic activities like messaging or posting. If your account is set to a region not covered by these services, you usually can still use LinkedIn normally, though certain features might prompt occasional verification requests. I’ve heard from users in Canada and parts of Asia that they haven’t had to verify ID yet, but this could change as LinkedIn tightens security globally. Would love to hear from others with recent experiences

As of 2025, LinkedIn’s ID verification isn’t fully global yet, it depends heavily on the region your account is tied to. CLEAR is mostly U.S. only, and Persona doesn’t cover all countries either. Accounts set to LATAM, parts of Africa, and Asia (like India, Pakistan, SEA) still seem to operate without forced verification in many cases. But if your region is set to EU or U.S., you’re more likely to be prompted, especially after login changes or job activity.

The safest play right now is to avoid setting your region to EU/US/Canada if you're not ready to verify. LATAM and Tier 3 regions still offer the most flexibility. Just keep in mind LinkedIn is tightening this gradually, and even those zones could change soon.

In many countries, LinkedIn doesn’t force everyone to verify with ID yet. You can still send messages and apply for jobs in most regions without it, especially if you set your profile to a country where ID checks are not active. But LinkedIn sometimes changes the rules, so restrictions could appear anytime. If you face problems, try contacting LinkedIn support or switch your region.

Currently, I think everyone needs to submit identity verification, as most of my colleagues do, but I haven't encountered any of them yet. I'm very careful with my daily operations. Currently, I use a stable network and try not to perform certain operations too frequently. My information is real, so I think these are all necessary operations that don't trigger restrictions.

Which VPN or proxy can one use to bypass security check ?

linkedIn id verify isn’t global mandatory yet. us runs through clear, many other regions through persona, but not every country is forced. if ur region not in their partner list, u can still post, dm, apply jobs normal. badge helps trust, not required baseline.

Can someone list counties that won't require ID Verification
