Google ads likes

I just found out that you can like a Google ad. In general it's for the consumer so he sees more ads like that. But I was wondering if these likes would also be beneficial for the one running these ads, in terms of more Google trust etc. Does someone has any experience with that?

Any "normal" "human" activity will increase your trust (by the way, act like a human, don't like and subscribe to a lot of things in one day, spread it in time)

That I know of course, like I said....would it benefit the advertiser if a consumer likes their ads? Or is it sole purpose to feed the consumers Google ad algorithm?

The algorithm already has its own A/B tests; I think it’s more about the user’s history, or so the advertiser can “see” something in their metrics and stats.

Still, it’s good to know this—I didn’t know about it, and if it’s manipulable, it’s interesting.

I think it's almost impossible to find out if that would affect the advertiser in any way if Google won't give information about that.

I think I will look for someone who can dripfeed a few likes in a month for my ads. Can't hurt I guess.

The little heart icon is for personalization, not optimization. When someone “likes” an ad, it tells Google’s system to show that user more ads of the same type. It doesn’t feed extra quality score, cheaper clicks, or higher trust for the advertiser. The benefit is indirect at best: if more people like the style of your ad, it means your targeting and creative resonate, which naturally supports performance metrics, but the like itself isn’t a ranking factor.

I know that it's for personalization, but who knows. It might help gain some trust by google. If you go by googles book warming up a Google account like we all know wouldn't work, but we all know it does.

True, sometimes the system behaves differently in practice, but “likes” still don’t carry weight the way real performance signals do.
