Here’s a simple way to make some extra money on Fiverr using AI.
This works with either chatgpt or Gemini although I am sure it will work with other AI models as well.
For this you are going to be offering to create KDP book covers. Have a look on places like Fiverr and you will see these are good sources of income.
I would niche down but you don’t need to you could go wide.
Here’s the beautiful thing you don’t need any design skills and before you stop reading this won’t be the generic (rather rubbish) book covers you would get from a simple prompt.
When you get a sale you need to ask the customer for the following information
1-3 book covers they like
Book title
Sub title
Genre
Author name
Then head over to google and get a good image of the book covers (or as on this example a film poster)

Then we are going to use the following prompt:
Using the source material as reference create a kindle KDP book cover for a science fiction book [genre] called Reptoids [genre] they came back [sub title] by H G Verve[author]
This resulted in this

You can go a bit more advanced and use hex codes in the prompt to get a colour scheme you want. I used teal and orange and got this

It’s a couple of seconds work and with Gemini you can do revisions if the customer requests.
If you have a Canva pro account you could extend this to paperbacks and hardback. Simply place this as the front cover and is the generative fill to do the spine and back cover.
Real books are a bit more involved but you can also charge more to.
