Just started AD on TrafficJunky - have 0.4 CTR in 12 hours

Hi, just started my first ad campaign on TrafficJunky (adult traffic). 12 hours in and I have a 0.4 CTR.

Is this a acceptable CTR?

We just ran the ads on trafficjunky for about two weeks, cost $378.96 in total, the average CTR is 0.27%, the tops creatives are around 0.49%, 0.41%, 0.35%....Wanna learned from those who have spent times of our cost on this ads network.

guys, we cant help without details. CTR number meaningless without creatives and placements you used. Because these things directly affects CTR.

Edit:
For example, you might buy a banner placement in front of a video player , the CTR will naturally be high because of misclicks. But if you buy a placement in an area of the page that isn’t even visible, and the CTR is still 0.40%, that’s actually a success.

Or, if you target a placement with a lot of spam and bot traffic, the CTR will almost always be at least 1%.
I hope that makes it clearer.

From my own experience, if the goal is actual product sales (like toys, services, or subscriptions), running ads directly on adult sites tends to perform better than just relying on networks like TrafficJunky. The reason is simple: you can usually negotiate more control over placements, cut down on bot/spam traffic, and tailor creatives to the site’s audience, which helps both CTR and CVR.


In other words, network traffic can be great for volume/testing, but site-direct buys often give you the quality you need for real conversions.

Obviously the worst metric is CVR so far. We would optimize our landing page itself and the placement you mentioned is the root and we don't have any idea about that until you point it out. We do find that there are so many invalid clicks.

We currently only run these placements most, Pornhub Mobile-Interstitial/Pornhub PC-Inplayer/Pornhub PC-NTVB/Pornhub PC-NTVA. Totally pause any other adult website like Redtube/Yourporn...those suck.

May i know does the placement that i mentioned is good(effective for product sales on my case) according to your personal experience?

Another website is a new one, only a few products and using traffic junky to test these product and we do hope that it can bring us sales.

There are many other direct media-buy sites and channels out there, but what I mean is this: approaching websites directly usually brings much better results.


For example, I own a few adult tubes myself and I often get approached by advertisers (mostly AI and AI-undress offers). They simply pay me a set amount to place their ads, and we work from there. Whenever I talk with them, they always mention that their ROI is around 3× higher compared to buying traffic through big networks.


So if I were advertising a product, my go-to strategy would be to approach website owners directly, ask for a spot quotation, and work out a deal.
