Do not use AI for content of your website. These type of websites get punished with google updates.

If you're planning to generate full content with AI tools and using it on website then it is not recommended. You can brainstrom ideas with AI tools generate content outline, headings and do use it for research purposes.
But if you're insisted to do this make sure to humanize it manually, correct sentences, cross check facts and figures and publish only a polished version on website to get traffic from Google and Bing..
other scenario is if your traffic source is social media like Facebook or Pinterest then you can use AI generated content.. But make sure it is well researched and fully optimized to attract users.

If you'd have posted this question in the Black Hat SEO subforum I'd have answered yes, I use AI generated content for 99% of my website content and have done for a few years now. Of course it goes through constant prompt tweaking and other secondary filtering, but it's nothing special, and the majority of it is indexed.
But as you posted in the White Hat SEO forum I will answer no, stay away and only use hand-written content from a university degree-holding native English speaker just in case Google looks at your site too closely /s

AI bots have limited understanding. They only work based on training data and patterns. So if you just let them “auto-write,” the content often turns out weak or generic. That’s why Google and other platforms can flag or ignore low-quality AI-generated text.
But if you use AI tools (like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, etc.) as assistants, and you:
- do your own research,
- give clear commands (prompts),
- and add your own insights,
The key point: AI should be treated as a helper, not the actual writer. You’re the writer, AI just gives you speed and structure.

Yes you can use AI to generate SEO text and it is not punishable by itself Search engines do not ban content just because it was written by AI what matters is quality and usefulness to the reader Google and others care about whether your content answers questions and provides value rather than how it was created however low-quality AI content that is thin repetitive or stuffed with keywords can hurt your rankings so the key is to edit and improve AI output to make it natural and informative

You can use AI to create SEO content, Google does not penalize just because of “AI writing” but the important thing is quality and value. If the content is spam, useless or duplicated, it will be demoted. Using AI to support, then editing to ensure it is natural and useful is still safe.

Yeah you can use AI for SEO, but tbh I wouldn’t just hit “generate” and publish. Google’s not out here banning AI text, they just care if it’s low-quality or spammy.
Best move is come up with your own ideas first, then let AI help polish, expand, or rephrase.
If it’s 100% AI with no human touch, it usually reads kinda flat and won’t rank well anyway. Think of AI more like your writing assistant, not the whole writer.
