Quick question — what’s the fastest way you guys build trust with a new affiliate network?
Some AMs seem cautious at first (especially in finance/insurance). Do you usually send them a traffic plan, past stats, or just start small and scale?

Curious what’s worked best for you.

Starting small and scaling once the leads prove good worked for me. Networks open up faster that way.

Hey maypotter,

Your question is very relevant. From my experience, building trust quickly with a new affiliate network works best when you follow a few key strategies:

  • Clear Traffic Plan + Past Stats – I always start by sharing a concise traffic plan along with previous performance stats. When an AM sees that you’re professional and consistent, trust builds much faster.

  • Start Small with Test Campaigns – Running small test campaigns first is extremely effective. It gives the AM risk-free proof that you can deliver, especially in finance or insurance niches.

  • Consistent Communication & Transparency – Regular updates, prompt replies, and setting realistic expectations accelerate trust.

From my observation, a combination of a well-prepared plan + proven past results + small test campaigns is the most effective. Once an AM gains confidence in you, scaling campaigns becomes much smoother.

I usually share a simple traffic breakdown upfront. Shows them I’m serious and not testing random junk traffic.

Starting small and showing consistent quality usually builds more trust than sharing big plans upfront

Building trust = communication. Keep your AM updated, even if results are mixed — they’ll see you’re reliable.

The fastest way to build trust is by starting small with consistent, clean traffic and delivering steady conversions. Share past results if you have them, but even without, transparency and reliability go a long way. Regular updates and proof of quality performance can quickly turn cautious AMs into long-term partners.

I usually send a concise traffic plan with projected volumes and targeting, it shows I’m serious and organized

IMO key elements on which trust is based are transparency and predictability.
There is no need to sell; you need to learn to listen to the customer's “pain” in order to more accurately select what they want.
It is essential to be prepared and not to offer a pig in a poke also for small start even

fast is unreliable for one of both
slow is reliable for both
