Good evening, brothers.

If your ad is showing but no money is being spent, it typically means the campaign isn’t receiving any chargeable actions. A few common reasons:

  • Your billing method hasn’t been fully verified yet, so the spend isn’t being deducted.
  • The ad is being shown but not getting clicks or impressions that qualify for charges (depends on whether you chose CPC, CPM, or another objective).
  • Sometimes there’s a delay in Facebook Ads Manager updating the spend numbers — you might see spend reflected after a few hours or even the next day.

I recommend double-checking your campaign objective, billing setup, and ad delivery settings to ensure everything is accurate. If everything appears correct and the spend remains at zero after 24–48 hours, contacting Facebook support is the safest course of action.

Usually when I run ads, once they’re approved and in delivery, I see some spend right away. Could it be something with the bidding setup or a billing hold?

I placed a business investment ad on Facebook. The ad has been displayed since yesterday, but no money has been consumed. Why is this?
First check your page to see if there is any problem
if not you can change the payment method then recreate the ad

this is strange, you should check your campaign to see if your campaigns have the following errors
first: is due to advertising country restrictions
second: check the pages to see if they are locked
third: you should check your payment card to see if there is a problem with the account being held or the payment card being faulty

Maybe it can be an ad error, check your ads account, check payment method and check there is any ad restrictions or not

It can take some time for Facebook to start charging for your ads. Sometimes it takes a few hours for the system to update and record the costs. If you have set a daily budget, your ads may not spend money until they reach the minimum spend for the day.

If your ad is showing but not spending, it could be because it’s new and still distributing slowly, your targeting is too narrow or bid too low, the content is restricted, or there’s a setup/account error. Check settings, broaden targeting, adjust budget, and ensure you follow policy.

Ads that don't spend money are usually due to approval, low budget/bid, too narrow targeting, or payment method errors.

This is usually related to how the goal is set up or the payment method is not fully verified. You should double check that the payment card is working properly and that the campaign is being delivered to the correct file. If after 24-48 hours there is still no spending, you should contact support directly so they can check further.

maybe the problem is with your ad account. Try creating a new campaign with a small budget, after the campaign spends, gradually increase the budget

Some reasons:
The account or BM is limited in spending (limit not open, low credit).
The budget/bid set is not competitive → not enough for distribution.
Targeting is too narrow or the content is in a sensitive industry (investment, finance) → the censorship system is strict, leading to slow distribution or no distribution.
The rented account does not have a stable spending history, so the algorithm "holds" it for evaluation.

=>We often use reputable BMs with a large spending history, helping the campaign to be approved quickly and distribute the budget more regularly.

Sometimes it also means the targeting is too narrow or FB doesn’t find enough audience to deliver. Check ad status, payment setup, and try broader targeting to see if it starts spending

That usually happens when the ad is stuck in “learning/limited” due to low trust on the account, weak payment setup, or Facebook silently throttling because of policy sensitivity (like investment/finance ads).

It might be that FB is still reviewing the ad or your payment method isn’t fully approved. Sometimes ads just don’t spend much if the audience is small or there’s a policy limit.

There are usually 3 main reasons:
- Your page is shadowbanned > change page
- Your card is not approved but fb does not notify > try to change the card
- Poor target audience, no users to reach and spend > check audience again and use Meta's Advantage+ Audience to get more priority

you need to test multiple campaigns, the one that get sells you invest more into it

That just means your account is showing as active, but it hasn’t actually spent anything yet. Check whether the campaign is in ‘Started Delivery’ status or just in ‘Active’ status
