What did you mean by "fail after 6 months"? What happens at the 6th month that doesn't happen earlier?
If it's just that it never took off, what's the point in adding the timeframe?

Good point I should’ve been clearer on what I meant by “failure.”

When I say most blogs “fail in 6 months,” I don’t mean the site technically breaks down at that time. What usually happens is that beginners give up within that period because they don’t see traffic or revenue fast enough.

And one major reason behind this is the false expectations set by ads and “gurus.” Many newcomers join after seeing YouTube/Facebook ads claiming things like “I made $10k in 3 months” or “$100k in 6 months.” Course sellers feed them unrealistic dreams, and when reality doesn’t match up, most people quit within 3–6 months. It’s not that blogging itself fails – it’s that people lose patience and stop before their site has a chance to grow.

And just to clarify – if this post were AI-generated, BHW’s moderation system or members would have flagged and reported it long before it reached you. That didn’t happen because this post isn’t AI content.
I wrote it from my own personal experience. My very first blog didn’t even last 5 months – mainly because I was chasing income without having the right knowledge or skills at that time. That failure is exactly why I now understand how easily beginners quit early on.

That being said, I do agree with your point – there’s a flood of low-quality AI content on the forum these days. I appreciate your feedback.

Don't play that game. AI posts are allowed on BHW. Even nonsense posts like the one you posted.
I didn't call you out because it was AI but because it's filled with nothing.

I understand that you want to establish yourself as some sort of a knowledgeable authority in this field, which is fine, I aimed for the exact same thing once, but at least learn a little more than the absolute basics of blogging before you post another empty pseudo enlightening post that doesn't help anyone.

Yes, I think realistic expectations is why new blogs often fail. It's the same with "newtubers." They post something and then expect amazing results immediately. If their very first post did not do well, they get discouraged. The thing is that growth takes time. Consistent quality posts is needed, as well as knowledge in how to advertise the blog and actually putting in the effort to do that. It's not just about writing stuff.
