I’ve been testing different hosting setups lately and noticed something interesting:
So it really comes down to: speed + legitimacy vs. freedom + flexibility.
For example:
Where do you guys draw the line? Do you use cloud only for clean projects and offshore for everything else, or do you blend both?
- AWS / GCP / Azure → blazing speed, enterprise-level stability, free credits for testing. Downside = strict compliance, risk of suspension if you push grey-hat projects.
- Offshore VPS / bulletproof hosts → less stable, more expensive long-term, but higher tolerance for aggressive SEO, bulk mailing, cloaking, etc.
So it really comes down to: speed + legitimacy vs. freedom + flexibility.
For example:
- Running scrapers? Cloud accounts with rotating IPs crush it.
- Running affiliate cloakers / heavy mailing? Offshore VPS gives peace of mind.
