Hey BHW, I have some questions. For example, if we can’t post too much content on the same Reddit account in a single day, how can we tell if the subreddits we’re posting in are good or not?


Should we just look at the upvotes? I don’t think that’s enough. How can we figure out which subreddits are the best choices for posting?


And where can we find the good ones? I know there are a lot of sites for searching, but I don’t believe we need to try every single subreddit to check if it’s good or not, you know what I mean?

Good question! Upvotes help, but also check how much activity and comments the subreddit gets. Look at recent posts and see if people talk and share often. You can search for popular subreddits using Reddit itself or sites like Subreddit Stats. Don’t worry about trying all of them just focus on the ones that fit your topic and have active members.

This + The subreddit depends on the niche your creator is in. Some will stick and some won’t, you’ll see which ones perform best after a few days / weeks of posting and gathering data. You can also ask the sub which subreddit they originally found the creator from.

in my personal experiece and depending on what you are doing of course, sending a lot of upvotes making going treding on reddit your post works on any subreddit

The only way to tell if they are good or not is by seeing how many subs you get from them. The closer the match between your content and the subreddit niche the higher your conversion. Sadly this is not enough as Reddit is overcrowded so you need some other ways of expanding your promo on Reddit. In other words, different strategies. We bring between 50-100 subs a day right now and we are just starting.

this is per account, 1-2 subreddits per account, we have a tactic that only posts in particular high conversion subreddits plus I have a bot that discovers those specific subreddits

I wouldnt say so, the rule is we keep 1 account more long term and the others we do 'suicide method' where we do a lot of upvote boosting and accounts last 3-4 days max. The important part however is posting in the right places with lots of conversion which are specific subreddits which are recommended on feed. I have a bot that discovers them fast so this is the secret sauce that makes this method work

In my opinion, the first metric to evaluate is conversions. If you’re getting conversions, it means the subreddit is working for your model. Another strong signal is receiving DMs, since that shows genuine interest. Upvotes shouldn’t be your main focus, while they help with visibility, they can be botted, so high upvotes don’t always equal a good subreddit. I also recommend studying where other successful models are posting or use Anvaka.

Engagement ratio by far the best visible indicator. Saying visible since I have posted in lots of subs with not good ratio but still good conversion. Just post super relevant to subreddit theme

It depends, if you’re targeting a very specific niche than yes. But if you’re posting in large subreddits and getting lots of upvotes with few conversions, it’s not a good subreddit for you.
