So im in an unusual boat that my on-page SEO is strong and I have a solid site that pulls in consistently growing traffic even in the current climate, I've no doubt I could scale this model endlessly long term. I am now wanting to sell link placements on my content to earn a bit of side income however my site's DA/DR metrics are weak <5 and <10 respectively my TF is 18 and CF is 24. What I would like to know is are there any known techniques/strategies to jump the DA/DR up into the 20-30 range which would allow me to more convincingly sell placements?

What I have seen is that you can build a "honeypot" page with all your directory/PR links and then run some mass blog comment tool to that page which pings ahrefs and Moz crawlers to scan the page register your high authority links then delete the honeypot? I can see why this is super risky as the link velocity in these crawlers and probably googlebot crawler would be way too high but I'm sure theres ways to do it in a safer manner. I'd be open to paying someone to teach me this artform (not buy a service - I am here to learn) or join some communities that specialise in this kind of activity, I'm sure I'd have a lot of useful info to bring to the table.

lately, topical relevancy and trust have become more important than DR, so I wouldn't bother with it.

Furthermore, if you're going to inflate your DR just so you can get an extra $50 per link (if even that) you risk losing long term business because the professionals (experienced SEOs, SEO agencies, link building networks, etc) are more likely to be repeat customers than the few rookies that you're going to fool once...

Really you should continue nurturing your site and keep it in google's good graces by NOT increasing its DR in any shady way, and the money will come. When you reach a certain threshold (usually of organic traffic) people with money will take notice of your site and they'll contact you with offers, so don't risk these opportunities for an extra 50 DR that is recognized as fake from kilometers away :)

Wait, where am I, I thought this was black hat world not reddit?

All joking aside...

I respect the answers you are both right but I'm looking for bh techniques to just nudge me into the 20-30 DR range none of that 50-70DR nonsense that's all over fiverr. While traffic is more important than these vanity Metrics they do play a role in getting seen which (for now) is my main focus.

I've never cared about increasing DR, so I can't speak from personal experience. But I did a bit of research and found these methods that could work:

Also, something else you could try that I've not seen mentioned is to find dead links on big sites like Wikipedia and replace those links with yours. I know that Wikipedia links are nofollow, but I've read somewhere that they can still boost the DR through whichever trickery, so it might be worth a try...

Anyway, good luck wrecking your site, you seem very hellbent on doing it :)

The only sustainable way to raise DA/DR into the 20-30 range is through real authority backlinks via guest posts, niche edits, and digital PR rather than risky manipulative tactics.

Many thanks for the links to other threads this is exactly what I'm after.

Only learn by trying stuff out myself so thanks for giving me the tools to burn my own house down.

That’s a really good perspective i have been hearing so much about DR lately but this puts things into context focusing on trust and relevance sounds like a smarter longer term.
