Hello, With all the recent google updates and the rise of AI content, I am wondering what is really working in Seo right now.
Are PBNs, AI generated articles, or parasite Seo still bringing results?
What on page or off page strategies are helping you rank in 2025?
I would really appreciate any insights.

best regards,

From what I’ve seen in 2025, AI content on its own doesn’t cut it anymore, you really need to edit/optimize it so it reads natural and adds value.
Parasite SEO is still working but way more competitive, and PBNs can help if they’re clean and not obvious.
Honestly the biggest wins lately came from tightening topical relevance + internal linking, and then sprinkling in solid backlinks. Nothing new or magic, just doing the basics well still pays off.

Right now, topical authority and building clusters around niche subjects are working best for long-term growth.

AI content can help, but it needs heavy editing and human input to stand out. For off-page, high-quality links from real sites and selective parasite SEO are still giving solid results.

From what I've seen and implemented myself to get results, using AI to generate a comprehensive topical map of what you're trying to rank for and then building out a blog/help page with good internal linking etc etc and a good amount of well written blog articles (in my case 20) did wonders for my SEO.

I spent a decent amount of time making sure those blog posts were top tier quality.

Satisfying search intent is always a good start on how to rank.

Providing well written, useful answers will also get you in the google AI overview.

Obviously high DA and relevant backlinks as well.

  1. High-quality topical authority content (AI-assisted + human editing)
  2. Strong internal linking + fast page speed
  3. Relevant, contextual backlinks (guest posts, niche edits, authority mentions)

PBNs still work as before (if well done), this is something the AI has not broken yet.

In 2025, SEO is shifting due to AI and advanced Google algorithms.

. Effective strategies: high-quality PBNs, parasite SEO on authority sites, AI-assisted content (with E-E-A-T compliance), and Answer Engine Optimization.

. Risks: low-quality AI content and manipulative tactics are penalized; focus on sustainable, human-centric SEO with tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, and MarketMuse.

I am still relatively new to the game, but I will say, I am producing high-quality blogs, with good topic authority, (I think) a well-implemented internal linking strategy, and a good running backlinking strategy and we are ranking relatively well in all engines except google. I don't know why yet, but that's what brought me here, was to try and figure it out.

EEAT and trust signals matter more on Google, keep pushing authority. Google can be slower to reward newer sites compared to Bing/Yahoo. Build clean backlinks and make sure your technical SEO is solid.

Topical authority + strong internal linking is working well for me in 2025. I use AI to draft content but always manually rewrite it to match search intent and keep it natural. Parasite SEO works, too, if done right. PBNs are risky, unless they are clean and up-to-date. Focus on relevance, trust signals, and user experience—Google is watching everything closely now.

Quality content over niche relevant guest post, high authority PR, authority over that niche with eeat.

Could not agree more! topical authority plus solid internal linking is still very effective.

AI content works if you edit it and add real value. PBNs still help if they’re clean, parasite SEO can work but isn’t a full strategy. On-page, strong topical clusters matter. Off-page, a few solid links plus branded ones go further than spam.

When you said ‘strong topical clusters’ do you usually build them around 5-10 main topics or more?

Stay away from AI generated content. Though Google is itself working heavily on AI and also showing AI mode in search, they are not treating websites with AI content nicely. Such websites are getting deindexed in few days.

From this year I have noticed that content with good quality will wins. Even in PBN and niche relevant guest posts the content quality will be the game on it. If we done those services(PBN or Guest Post or some other services) with good content and make good link building can make boost and improve rankings.

Optimising for AI-driven search, such as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), will be the key to SEO success in 2025. The importance of building trust through E-E-A-T, adding structured data, and ensuring fast, mobile-friendly sites cannot be overstated. The use of conversational, intent-based content helps capture snippets and voice searches. Visibility is also enhanced by user-generated content. Competing businesses that combine technical excellence with credibility and adapt to AI-powered search shifts gain higher rankings, stronger engagement, and long-term growth.

Right now, topical authority and building clusters around niche subjects are working best for long-term growth.

In 2025, high-quality, value-driven content still wins, whether AI-assisted or not. PBNs and parasite SEO can work short-term but are risky and often penalized. On-page, focus on topic clusters and good internal linking. Off-page, prioritize a few strong, relevant backlinks over many low-quality ones.
