Absolutely, that’s pretty common! Many fans start out loving Goku as a kid but later relate more to Vegeta’s complexity and determination as adults. DB really is timeless in how it connects with different ages

Yeah, totally get that. As kids we admire Goku’s optimism and heroism, but as adults Vegeta’s pride, struggle, and growth hit differently. I think a lot of people shift to appreciating Vegeta more once they see the depth in his character. DB really is timeless.

I not only watch Dragon Ball, but also One Piece. They are both my favorite anime. I have watched every one of their anime and theatrical versions and I like them all.

I also loved Goku as a kid, but now I relate more to Vegeta. Somehow as we grow, we start appreciating different sides of the story. Dragon Ball really is timeless.

My brother and I used to sneak up to the TV room late at night to watch DBZ.

In a sense, I did, but I did not have any brothers. I only had a little sister to play with, so we always did a mix between playing with Barbies and Hot Wheels, but I remember there being kids at school who would go on about Dragon Ball Z or whatever at great length. I do not know anything about it other than what some of the toys looked like in the early 2000s.
