A lot of people keep asking, “Are PBNs dead in 2025?” - The answer is simple: No, they’re not dead… they’re smarter.
Here’s why PBNs are still one of the strongest tools in the SEO toolbox this year:

  • Full Control - You decide anchor text, link placement, and content.
  • Fast Ranking Power - Still one of the fastest ways to push rankings up.
  • Aged Authority - Expired/auction domains carry evergreen link juice.
  • Scalable Networks - Build once, use for multiple money sites.
  • Perfect for Hard Niches - Casino, adult, crypto, CBD, finance - where white-hat can’t survive.
  • Permanent Links - Unlike rented backlinks, your PBN links stay as long as you own the domain.

Yeah, PBNs still work if you keep them clean with solid domains. But if you want long term growth, you need to mix up guest posts, niche edits, and some real legit links. Relying solely on PBNs is not a sustainable long term strategy.

No, PBNs aren’t dead in 2025. They’re just smarter now and still one of the quickest, most effective ways to boost rankings especially in tough niches.

PBNs stay relevant as long as authority is gained through backlinks. However, most people confuse between quality PBNs and spam sites that offer cheap PBN links. PBN could mean something entirely different based on the context, so webmasters shouldn't generalize PBNs.

PBNs are still the GOAT

Yes, PBNs can be effective for ranking, but there are important factors to consider. In many cases, I’ve noticed that people hear from SEOs that PBNs are “good” and jump in without proper understanding. They often don’t know what qualities to look for when buying, and end up purchasing simply because an expert recommended it. This is not the right way to approach using PBNs for a website.
Unlike rented backlinks, your PBN links stay as long as you own the domain.
True — as long as you or trusted experts build the network. In most cases, however, PBNs are purchased from a seller. When that happens, they’re often poorly managed or created, which can cause serious harm to your site.

PBNs aren’t dead in 2025 they’ve simply evolved. When built smartly, they remain one of the fastest and most powerful methods to rank in competitive niches.

I'm grateful for your kind words!

This thread is a meeting of PBN sellers with strongly biased opinions, sorry guys...any authentic unbiased opinion about PBNs in 2025? I'd buy some, but we need to read some customer's feedback

PBNs aren’t dead, but the way you build and manage them has to be smarter now. If you keep footprints low, mix them into a broader link strategy, and use them where competition is tough, they can still move rankings. Relying only on PBNs though is risky, balance is key.

I really value your perspective, thanks for sharing it!

PBNs are not dead in 2025, but they have become more advanced. They can still help you rank faster, especially in tough niches, but now they need to be built carefully, work with other SEO methods, and not look spammy.

There are scalable and you can use multiple sites but do not abuse them. Otherwise, they will do more harm then good.

The more work you put into your sites in your network, the longer they'll work for. Make them look like actual businesses or a blog/article section on an existing business. Generic Generatepress barebones blogs are identifiable as PBNs a mile away - stay away from them.

PBN's are still a worthy one in 2025, and it will help rank for competitive niche websites.

I came to say the same thing. If you're just here to share some generic info posted here for god knows how many years, then you come prepared with some case studies. This AI shit is getting out of hand. :D
