Are CTR manipulation services in 2025 still needed?

Curious what everyone thinks do SEOs still actually use CTR manipulation these days, or has it faded out in demand?

If a service like this hypothetically existed, what would make it worth using? Significantly lower cost per clicks while still using humans? More advanced options like pogo, dwell time, internal link clicks etc? Or is it simply not something that's used much anymore or moves the needle enough?

From what I’ve seen, most current services run around $0.30+ per click, which feels too high to make it worth. Would a lower price point in general make CTR manipulation more viable, or do you think demand just isn’t there anymore?

It's worth it only if it improves rankings. What's the other reason to use it if not to improve rankings?

It is still useful I believe. I have no experience with it so this is second hand info. I think the main issue is that, at least from my friend who uses it for their sites, it has gotten expensive and profit margins are small.

Yeah most of the other services are very expensive which is what I've noticed.

It still works, but Google is much smarter now at detecting fake/botted CTR traffic.

If you’re just sending automated clicks from data centers, VPNs, or emulators ==> Google will filter it instantly. It doesn’t help rankings and can even look suspicious in Search Console.

What does work is authentic-looking user signals:
  • Real devices (mobile + desktop mix)
  • Geo/IP matching the target market
  • Natural behavior (scrolling, dwell time, pogo sticking, internal link clicks)
  • Organic entry (search → click result), not just direct visits

Basically, you need traffic that looks like a real human user journey. When done right, CTR manipulation can still move the needle smoothly, especially for brand terms, fresh content, and mid-competition SERPs. But it’s not “plug and play” like it was years ago - quality of the traffic matters 100x more than volume.

CTR manipulation is still used but way less than before since Google’s detection got better. It only really helps when combined with strong content and links, not as a standalone tactic. Lower pricing could make it more attractive, but demand isn’t high because ROI is uncertain compared to other SEO methods.

SEOs still use CTR manipulation, but less than before. It only works if it looks natural (pogo, dwell, link clicks). Main issue: cost ($0.30+ per click is too high). Demand would increase if it were cheaper and more advanced.

Hi!
CTR manipulation still works in niches but is costly and less effective now.

People still test CTR manipulation, but it’s nowhere near as hyped as a few years ago. It can move the needle in some niches, but usually short-term. Price is part of it, yeah, but the bigger issue is consistency + staying under the radar. If a service offered more natural behavior (dwell, internal clicks, etc.) I think people would still give it a try.
