How to make a custom GPT?

Does anyone know about custom GPT here? I am having difficulties in getting my custom GPT to cite an existing source.

What do you mean by cite an existing source, can you be more specific? Also try to ask ChatGPT haha, with web search enabled and 2025 specified it may resolve your issues quickly.

My GPT is a study buddy, so I need it to cite sources accurately. But the sources end up as a nonexistent page.

What model are you using? You also need to probe it and try it out. Its very uuhh not so advanced in certain areas. Like sometimes you will need to know roughly where it is you need to cite. If its code github. If its media MSNBC or FOX or whatever side you prescribe to (dont care) if its sports ESPN if its dramas etc etc. You more or less need to know what it should search and TELL IT to search there. Or ask it. What websites talk about i dont know. For example, NIKE sneaker collecting. And then quote EVERYTIME or for as long as history isnt wiped. Look at this site. BE VERY SPECIFIC! WITH IT! You get what you put in out and vice versa.

Make sure that the "Web Search" option is enabled in your GPT's capabilities list. Also, tell it to always check the Internet for any links it provides.
