I'm looking for a service that provides an always-on PC in the cloud. Ssomething I can access remotely at any time without needing to start or stop it manually. I want it to stay online 24/7. Are there any reliable services available that offer this kind of setup?

yes, you’re basically looking for a cloud vps or dedicated virtual machine that runs 24/7. reliable options include aws (ec2), microsoft azure, and google cloud, which give you full-time virtual pcs you can access anytime via rdp. simpler alternatives are services like paperspace or shadow pc, which are built for always-on remote desktops without manual restarts.

Not exactly a typical cloud VPS. I'm looking for a service like AlwaysOnPC or AWS WorkSpaces.

It's called virtual desktop server (RDS) you can use common VPS, but it'll have very slow graphic because it depends on CPU. You can also use dedicated RaspberryPi hosting using ubuntu, it'll have moderate graphic processing. Maybe you can share why you need cloud always on pc?

Any Windows VPS I've ever used has all those points covered. Just buy a cheap one for starters, and if it works how you want it to, then scale up to what suits your needs.

Thanks! I'm mostly running lightweight automation and occasional browser-based tasks, nothing GPU-heavy so performance isn't critical, but reliability is. Appreciate the tip on Raspberry Pi hosting, hadn't thought of that angle.

Solid advice. I’ll likely try a lower-tier Windows VPS first just to test my setup. Good to know it can meet all the requirements I mentioned.

Get a cheap Linux VPS and install xRDP
Appreciate the suggestion. Linux + xRDP is definitely an option I’m considering too. It might be a good lightweight solution depending on how the remote experience holds up.

+1 to AWS workspaces. I tried using cheap VPS but it was too slow. Workspaces are fairly cheap ~$50/month and are always on
Thanks! That’s exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. AWS Workspaces sounds like a reliable always-on option. I'll look into that seriously, especially if VPS turns out too sluggish.

make sure to get the windows one, I tried linux and it is slower even though it has the same specs
