Is it possible to comment on posts with questions without getting shadow banned on fresh accounts? I tried 4g proxies, with a new registered account (its my real account, I only have 1 account) and the comment seems to be archived?

Warming the account with some interactions generally for a few dasys could raise your accounts trust.

Yes, it is possible, it depends on what kinda of filters the subredit has, some subreddits don't have that many restrictions, and comments are not hidden.

do you know what causes my brand new account to have comments hidden? Is that due to account age?

Like I said, it depends what kinda of filtres the subredit has. Some make your comments hidden due to account age, karma, etc

is there a way to see what filters they have prior to commenting

On some subreddits they disclose what bots they are using. On the web version you can see on the right side what apps they have installed, like "bot-bouncer". You can read about that apps and see how it works. Check the aww subreddit and you will understand what i'm talking about.

New accounts are too restricted; it’s difficult not to get banned.

Yes, it’s possible, but fresh accounts are heavily limited. Even with 4G proxies, Reddit may hide comments until the account builds trust. Post in smaller subs first, engage naturally, and let the account age a bit before dropping questions in larger communities. Avoid posting too fast after registration.

Commenting with questions on fresh Reddit accounts can be tricky - that archived comment with 4G proxies might mean their spam filter flagged it, even if it’s your real account. Starting with simple, relevant replies in active subs like r/AskReddit could warm it up better before asking stuff. Have you tried waiting a few days and building some karma first?

Fresh Reddit accs have very low trust so comments can get autofiltered without you knowing. Mods have to manually approve them and if the subreddit is strict they might never show.

To avoid that warm the account first by engaging in smaller subs, upvote, post harmless comments, and wait a a day or two before asking questions in bigger comms.

reddit is just insane, if you don't warm up your accounts for at least a month, they just shadowban for no reason

Yes, using proxies carries a high risk of getting shadowbanned, since Reddit’s system is pretty good at spotting them.
A safer alternative is to use microjob platforms like Sproutgigs, where real users (who aren’t on proxies or VPNs) can post comments you’ve personalized yourself.

16 days warmup. residential proxys (dedicated ofc) and start little by little

Yes, But with Fresh accounts you should start by engaging slowly, building karma, and avoiding spammy patterns to prevent shadow bans.

Your comments likely get auto-hidden, not shadowbanned, because your account is new with no karma and you’re on a 4G IP that might be flagged.
Warm up the account, earn some karma, post in big subs first, and avoid short/question-only comments.

If your account is fresh. Do not post or comment. (Maybe 2 to 3 days) Just scroll or you can react. Now, once you done warming accounts. You can comment a very high and detailed comment (not ai generated) also if you want to post, post a very detailed and high value post.

The subs decide whether or not new users can comment. You just have to comment somewhere without such filters.

1. Warm Up Before Commenting Questions

  • Spend the first 2–3 days only upvoting and making a few short, non-controversial comments in small subreddits.
  • Avoid large, high-moderation subs until you have at least 20–30 comment karma.
  • Reply to other users’ comments instead of posting top-level questions right away.

2. Why Comments Get “Archived” or Hidden

  • Automod rules: Many subs filter comments from accounts under a certain karma or age threshold.
  • Trigger words/links: Even innocent links or certain phrasing can trigger spam filters.
  • Activity pattern: If you comment on many posts too quickly (especially in unrelated niches), Reddit’s anti-spam system might delay showing your content.

3. Safer Question Commenting

  • Rephrase questions in a conversational way: instead of “Where can I get this?” try “Has anyone here found a good source for this?”
  • Engage with trending threads in smaller subs before posting in the bigger ones.
  • Avoid copy-pasting the same or very similar question in multiple subs — Reddit flags this quickly.

4. Suggested Timeline

  • Day 1–2: 5–10 upvotes/day, 2–3 short comments (no questions yet).
  • Day 3–5: 5–10 comments/day, including 1–2 polite, well-written questions in small/medium subs.
  • Day 6+: Gradually move into larger subs; by now your comment visibility should improve.
