For the past three years, I was doing well as a content writer. Then I left to pursue higher studies. Now that I’ve restarted, I feel the market has dried up. Does nobody want to hire human content writers anymore?

Number of jobs dropped after AI went mainstream but those who value high quality human written content are still hiring writers. May be difficult to find a gig, but keep looking.

I started as content writer in month of January, I opened my fiverr seller account and lowered the prices so much that there's enough loss for me to just quit but there hasn't been a single order yet lmao.

There’s still demand for human writers, but the market’s more competitive with AI content. Focusing on niches, expertise, and adding personality or insights AI can’t match can help you stand out.

it’s tough feeling like the content writing market’s dried up after your break - I get why you’d worry! From what I’ve seen, demand’s still there, especially for human writers who can nail tone and nuance that AI misses, though it’s shifted toward niches like tech or health. Have you tried targeting freelance platforms like Upwork or hitting up small businesses directly for custom gigs?

AI is doing a lot lately. I still use human writers on some projects but my use of AI has increased compared to the past.

Content writers are mostly sought after if they already have a name and the ability to publish their articles on popular websites.
Content for the sake of content is no longer as appealing as it used to be.

Maybe consider positioning yourself as an AI content cleanerr: rewriting AI posts, fact-checking, and fixing what AI ‘humanizers’ get wrong which is pretty much everything because those things are crap :D. I think there’s a real market for that.

There’s still demand, but competition with AI is high. Writers who offer unique voice and expertise are getting the best work.

i wouldnt near that industry, even if ai is still dull to some extent, lot of organizations are combining AI+gramarly+quibot
== human content

It's definitely tougher now, AI can do a lot. But good writers still have a place if they know how to stand out. The rules have changed, but the game isn't over :cool:

You need to compete with AI. It's like playing chess with a computer.

AI has taken many of those jobs, but there is still demand for human written content, but competition is higher. And part of the competition is passing AI generated or AI aided content as human written as well, so there are more writers to compete with because of that as well.

Take a look at content writers offering this service in the forum and see for yourself.

People find it difficult to trust content writers now, 8 out of 10 will use AI machine every now and then.

They rather work on getting clients' orders done without leaving traces of AI than giving top notch humanely written contents.

Also, AI writers get better daily, and people also get better in using prompts.

The market's shifted with AI, but there’s still demand for high-quality human-written content. It may be harder to find gigs, but businesses that prioritize quality are still hiring.
