Hello everyone,

I am Turkish - I live in North Africa, but I want to get impressions from English-speaking countries. My goal is not to make money from TikTok, but to get views.

My 1st question: If I do nothing else and just post videos in English, will this happen?

My 2nd question: If the answer to the first question is no, what is the easiest and most correct path I should follow?

Hi,
If you only post videos in English, TikTok might still show them mostly to viewers in your region, because it uses factors like your location, SIM card, and device settings in addition to language.

To reach English-speaking countries, you can:

Change your TikTok language settings to English and add English-speaking countries to your “Content Preferences.”
  • Use trending sounds, hashtags, and challenges from the countries you want to target.
  • Engage (like, comment, follow) with content and creators from those regions—TikTok’s algorithm takes your activity into account.
  • Consider using a VPN when posting, but do this carefully, as it can affect account trust if abused.

Posting in English helps, but for best results, combine it with these steps.

Do you already have a TikTok account? How long has it been active? Have you ever reached any English-speaking users before? If not, simply posting videos in English and waiting for them to reach English-speaking users might not be very effective.

You could try creating a TikTok account based in the US or UK. If you're using a phone, you'll need to adjust your region and language settings, change your IP, etc. This is a common approach that people use to connect with English-speaking users. Hope it helps.

What you're saying sounds very logical, thank you.

Posting only in English can help, but TikTok often prioritizes your local region unless you also signal interest in an English-speaking audience.
To reach them, use trending English hashtags, sounds, captions, and engage with content from your target countries so TikTok’s algorithm associates your account with that audience.

I am actively using my current account, but I have never created any videos. I use many different languages: Turkish, English, and Arabic. Yes, I will try to apply what you've said.

The TikTok algorithm takes several signals into account to decide who to show your video to. If your account, IP, and SIM indicate North Africa, even if your video is in English, TikTok will likely first test your content with a local audience, not directly in the USA.

Just posting in English might help, but it’s not enough alone. TikTok often prioritizes content based on your location, SIM, and device settings not just language.

To reach English-speaking audiences, try using a VPN with a U.S./UK IPSetting your device language to EnglishEngaging with content from English-speaking creatorsUsing popular English hashtagsPosting at times when your target audience is most active
These steps can help guide the algorithm to show your content to the right viewers

Posting in English helps, but TikTok still uses your location, SIM, and settings to decide reach. Switch to English in preferences, use trending hashtags/sounds from target countries, and engage with creators there. A VPN can help, just use it carefully to keep trust high.
