Hey everyone,

I’ve been using Semrush for a bit now, but I feel like I’m only scratching the surface. There are so many features — keyword research, site audits, backlink analysis, content optimization — it can get overwhelming.

How are you leveraging Semrush to get real SEO wins this year? Any underrated features or workflows that have helped you boost rankings or find link opportunities?

Also, if you use it for competitor analysis, what are your best tips for turning that data into actionable strategies?

Would love to hear your experiences and hacks!

If you want to create niche websites, I suggest using SEM Rush to find topics that are easy to rank for by searching sites like Reddit or forums. These sites tend to rank well when there isn't a website specialized in that topic.

I use Semrush heavily for competitor gap analysis to find keywords and backlinks they have that I’m missing. The content template tool is also great for structuring posts that can outrank theirs, and regular site audits help me spot quick technical fixes that give easy wins.

That’s a smart approach — I hadn’t thought about using SEMrush data alongside Reddit/forum searches like that.

When you spot a topic with low competition, do you usually go for a small, hyper-focused niche site or build it out into a broader authority site over time?

Nice — sounds like you’ve got a solid system dialed in.

When you run those competitor gap analyses, do you usually target their top traffic pages first, or go after a bunch of smaller, easier keywords they’re ranking for?

And agreed on the content template tool — it’s saved me a lot of guesswork on what to include.
