Recently I ran ads for my TG channel and here are my results.

I got 27 subscribers for 7 TON, which is around $23. I used a banner ad, and when you go with a banner, the price goes up by about 50%.

Have you had any experience with Telegram Ads? Share your results.

It is best to use special advertising software on Telegram. Thousands of organic subscribers can be gained for $20.

I don't use Telegram ads, bur for that price you should be getting way more engagement.
Just to give you an idea, for 27 subscribers you'd only pay $2 on sproutgigs, same case with other similar microjob sites.

As for your advertising price, I think it is not cheap. Getting 27 subscriptions is much higher than the price of other places. Of course, it depends on how big your expectations are and your basic capital situation. In addition, Telegram is more suitable for special fields such as gray industry or cross-border. If you are in this kind of industry and have sufficient funds and the conversion rate is relatively impressive, then there is no need to worry about whether the advertising fee is expensive or not.

Your ad cost is higher than average, but it depends on your budget, niche, and results. Telegram works best for certain industries, so if conversions are strong, the higher price can still be worth it.

Your performance is not great, maybe you can try with another creative or a different audience

You can get thousands of organic TG subs for around $20 with the right ad tools. Your $27 per sub is high compared to others, but if you’re in niches like gray or cross-border with good ROI, the cost might still be worth it.

Telegram ads can be pricey, especially for certain niches. Your $23 for 27 subs seems high compared to others. Maybe try different creatives or targeting to optimize your ad spend?

Thanks for sharing your numbers. I’ve tested Telegram Ads before and found that banner formats do tend to cost more but can bring higher-quality subs. For me, native text ads had a lower CPA, but engagement wasn’t as strong.

There is no target in Telegram. You only target specific channels.

There is no adequate ranking (for example, I want the ad to be shown on all crypto channels) / no selection by age, country, etc. When they add this, Telegram will become a gold mine. But right now, it's a raw project.

That’s a good point about Telegram’s targeting limitations. Hopefully, they’ll expand their ad platform features soon to allow for more precise targeting, like demographics or interests. Until then, it’s trial and error with channel targeting

If I am not mistaken, it is now possible to target a country, but only from certain agency accounts.

You're right, some agency accounts can target specific countries now, which is a step forward. Still limited, but better than nothing

Yes but with this targeting option, even they do not have the right to choose channels (they can only target a country as a whole). But this is not 100% accurate information.

Yeah, that’s true. Even with country targeting, it’s still broad and not as precise as channel-specific targeting would be. Guess we’ll have to wait for more advanced options

I've been waiting for this update for 1.5 years.
I feel you. It's frustrating when platforms don't evolve as quickly as we'd like. Hopefully, Telegram will roll out more advanced targeting options soon. Fingers crossed

Is it real users or bots? When we tried tele ads (1 year ago), we got very cheap results, but almost all subscribers were bots.
How much budget did you run that day?
We did the conversion from facebook to telegram but it seems like it would be cheaper to do it directly on telegram.
