Is WordPress still the best choice for blogging?

Yes it is. Weebly for local businesses. Squarespace for female audience. Webflow for digital arts and graphics. Shopify for ecommerce, dropshipping. Carrd for one page site. Clickbank for funnels.
They all offer blogging options too except for carrd.

They all are seo friendly else they will pack their shop and go home.
Adsense is tricky one you have to google about each of them.

WordPress is still the best for blogging—especially if you care about SEO, monetization, and full control. But if you want something fast, minimal, and low-maintenance, Ghost is worth checking out. It's clean, fast, and built for publishing. It just depends on whether you want flexibility or simplicity.

wordpress self-hosted is still king but everyone sleeps on how much of a pain it is to maintain... like congrats you saved $10/month now enjoy debugging why your site broke after updating a plugin at 2am
ghost is lowkey amazing if you just want to write super clean, fast, built for newsletters/paid subs... but good luck finding plugins for anything custom
for pure speed/simplicity i've been testing hugo + netlify... site loads in like 200ms, costs literally $0, but you need to be comfortable with markdown and git (not for everyone).
framer is wild if you care about design, saw this travel blogger get 100k followers just because their site looked like an apple product page... but it's $$$ and overkill for most blogs
the thing is platform matters way less than people think... i know dudes crushing it on blogger.com (yes the free one from 2003) because they pump out 300 useful articles/month while everyone else is tweaking their wordpress theme for the 50th time
pick whatever lets you publish fastest... the best cms is the one you'll actually use consistently
I personally favor wordpress due to experience, ease of set up and its robust plugin community.

When considering blogging, yes wordpress is the best choice. Because you won't get such flexibility on other cms. Also there are lots of plugins and themes make the whole blogging joureny easier. But due to huge poplularity there are some drawbacks like wp is easy for vulnerability.

There are some special cases where other things might be needed . Like some projects need custom coded websites.

WP is simple and you can deploy a website within 5 minutes. There’s a plugin for everything. So, I use WP the most.
