Feels like SEO in 2025 is a different game than it was last year.

I’ve started focusing more on brand visibility, authority signals, and tighter topical clusters for my clients. Less about brute link volume, more about intent. Anyone else change their approach recently?

Absolutely, same here. It’s less about quantity now, tighter topical relevance, E-E-A-T signals, and brand trust seem to carry more weight. Intent-focused content is performing better than ever.

SEO strategies are always evolving, while we still use high-authority backlinks for our websites, we're also incorporating more social signals and focusing on long-term results.

I’ve also shifted focus to building topical authority, internal linking, and EEAT signals rather than chasing tons of backlinks.

Indeed, Google is seeking more intent-based content with improved topical relevance.

No, I never understood the topic of SEO, and I couldn't do it at all. I watched a lot of videos, but I think Google doesn't like me at all.
I understand your frustration. SEO is evolving every day. Keep yourself updated on the basics and try it practically with a website; you can then find your way. :)

I agree that Social signals and brand mentions are changing the SEO game these days.

Sure thing, with better topical authority and internal linking, you can take your website to the next level!

Thanks for your input, guys!

Yeah. We have shifted from chasing big link numbers to building strong brand signals, topical depth, and matching search intent. Feels like Google’s rewarding “real brand + real expertise” more than old-school volume tactics now.

Yes quality matters most in the new of SEO over quantity of backlinks. I think PR links will be a game changer here.

This year has definitely changed—less about link velocity, more about creating topical clusters and aligning content with user intent. EEAT and brand signals are having more of an impact than raw backlink numbers.

SEO in 2025 is all about depth, not just volume. We're seeing the same shift:
Topical authority, random keywords
Fewer but higher-quality links
Strong internal linking & entity buildingBrand signals + UX play a huge role now

You're on the right track, intent and trust are the new ranking currency

Yep, SEO in 2025 feels way different. I’m also shifting from just building tons of links to focusing on brand trust, authority, and strong topic clusters. Intent matters more than ever now. I'm focusing on higher-quality links and ditching spammy ones

This year, the focus has definitely shifted. More effort is being put into matching topical clusters, brand signals, and user interests. High-volume backlinking is now losing out—the depth, relevance, and real value that Google rewards now.

I'm working on internal linking, and building links to promote a brand - like I'm into real service.

Will continue to improve other areas gradually.

Yeah same here 2025s all about EEAT intent matching  Been leaning into brand mentions smart interlinking over chasing raw link juice Quality quantity now

Great to see more people focusing on the SEO factors that search engines value. How have your results been since shifting from quantity to quality, topical authority, etc?

Yeah, I’ve shifted more toward intent and stronger content too, and it’s been working better than just building lots of links.

Well Imo, 2025 SEO is more about brand, authority, and topical depth than raw link building

I’ve shifted to creating content that aligns with user intent and EEAT principles, while using fewer but more contextually powerful backlinks.

Absolutely
Shifting focus to quality content and topical authority has brought more stable and long-term results for me

Traffic may grow slower, but it's more consistent and less impacted by algorithm updates

Good things take time. :) Keep up your focus on content and topical authority.

Yes, focusing on intent and building fewer, but higher-quality links, can achieve the same results as the previous approach.
