It's been almost 6 months since I launched my website, and for the past 4 months, I’ve been publishing content daily. The content is AI-generated but enhanced with unique, collected data and human edits (legal niche)
I publish around 7 articles a day, which takes about 7 hours.
Until a month ago, my traffic was growing rapidly, but now it has completely plateaued. For example, if I had 1,300 visitors last month, I have the same number today — even though I’ve published over 200 additional articles since then. check average position in image below:

The issue is that all of my articles are indexed very quickly However, they don’t appear in search results, or they show up on page 2 or middle or end of 1 (sometimes never show on search) even the social media links I added to the site, despite having no followers, were indexed immediately (few hours)
About a month ago, I started working seriously on improving EEAT. I’ve been putting a lot of effort into it through daily updated social media accounts, YouTube, Instagram, and even LinkedIn.
So technically, I’m now in month 6, but for the first 2 months the site was mostly empty.
I also began natural link building about a month ago.
I’m confident the content I publish is more comprehensive than what’s currently out there, since I include my own exclusive sources that can’t be found elsewhere.

Yes, sounds like a soft sandbox or trust-building phase. Keep strengthening EEAT, build niche backlinks, and stay consistent, many sites see a lift around month 8–12. You're on the right track.

first of all, for a "new" site, these stats are amazing. Most people can only dream of having 70k clicks and such good avg. position and CTR, so you know your stuff for sure

I might be wrong in my assumption, so don't fully / blindly trusts me, but it is possible that google's put a restriction on your site for pumping out content like crazy.

I've heard people say that they publish 10-20 articles a day on fresh sites without any issue, but to me this still is a lot and I don't think these numbers work in all niches and for all sites.

So, I do believe that you publish too much content, too fast, which is why google's put a hold on your site's rankings, so to speak.

Try to publish only 1-3 articles a day for a few weeks and see if your new pages start ranking. Also, make sure to interlink all of the new content, internal links are an important ranking signal lately, so you need to point internal links to, and from the newly created pages to, and from other relevant pages (preferably ranking and / or traffic'd ones)

If this doesn't help, then it's possible that the recent google update had affected your site, so you gotta look into that as well...

again, this sounds like an internal linking issue, so make /better internal links and if these don't help then go for external links (ie. backlinks). Get a few guest post / niche edits / edu or gov / web 2.0 links to some of the pages that almost rank, and see if there's any improvement. If there isn't, then it's either an authority issue (in which case you need even more - and better - backlinks), or a recent google update issue.

I don't think it's a trust issue because sites that google doesn't trust don't have such good stats like yours, so it's either an authority issue, and internal linking one, or a google update one.

hmm... this could have something to do with the new thing that google rolled out, called Muvera or something like that.

I don't know how real this is (apparently it is indeed a new algorithm function or something), but if it's real it could justify why your pages are all over the place (sometimes nowhere, like you said), because - from what I understood - this new algorithmic function or whatever the hell it is breaks down long tails into constituent parts and pulls relevant sites / pages for each part of the keyword based on whatever google deems relevant.

I don't know how this works, so I can't explain it properly, sorry! It's just something that I've heard @Starblazer mention a few days ago and it stuck with me because it sounds exactly like what's happening to some of your new pages.... Anyway, hopefully Starblazer can jump in and clarify what this muvera thing is, I am pretty sure it's him who I've heard the term from...

that's normal, social media sites have a lot of authority (and apparently trust too), so google trusts and ranks them if they're considered important / relevant to the intent of the query...

hopefully you won't take this the wrong way, but if you build yourself, or buy even 1 single backlinks then it's NOT natural. Natural means that you never ever EVER buy / build a single backlink yourself, but other people link back to you on their own volition and completely unincentivized in any way. This is what natural link building is, otherwise you can put as much lipstick on your link building as you want, and it will still be black hat and unnatural. Just saying, don't jump at me cause I'm only the messenger, I'm not the one who hates link builders like google does. so don't blame me for mentioning this, I'm only saying it because a lot of people still say "white hat link building" when in reality link building = black hat no matter if you build the links yourself or pay someone else to build them, so there's nothing natural or white hat about building links if we are being literal

it doesn't look like sandbox to me. From what I know, sandboxing only happens in the beginning (when you make the site live and google indexes it). If the site gets indexed and starts getting clicks and impressions it's not sandboxed anymore (at least not the type of sandbox that's happened to my sites some years ago, it's possible that in the meantime google have updated the sandboxing effect, or maybe they've added new types of sandboxes, it's very possible as google are doing many things to their algorithm multiple times a day without most people ever knowing or noticing)

But anyway, if we are talking about the classical effect of sandbox then that's not it! Most likely you've been affected by google's recent update... or you've hit a filter or triggered something in their algorithm that - until fixed / lifted - will not make your site continue ranking.

Now that the issue is more clear, let me share a few points.


First, this situation started exactly around the time the Google update was approaching. However, it also coincided with a link-building effort I was working on.


I've been in this field for nearly 15 years, and this time I deliberately avoided doing anything unnatural. All my links are completely legitimate for example, posting job ads, registering on map platforms, producing real podcasts with links to my content, videos, and maintaining daily activity across all social media platforms.


The very first links I built actually two of them were from Wikipedia. Both were highly relevant to the article in question and still are. However, I only see one of them showing up in Search Console.


That link, combined with the timing of the Google update, marked the start of the issue. The rest of the links are completely natural.


As for the next point: at the exact time this issue started affecting my site, there had been no active effort on EEAT. The site was heavy and even the "Contact Us" and "About Us" pages were blank, and the social media links were missing.


It was only after I felt something was wrong that I started building up EEAT and launching social media channels, where I now post every day.

And regarding internal linking, I’m working on it very carefully. Each new article includes at least 4 to 5 internal links, and I also go through previous articles to add 4 to 5 links that are precisely related to the exact word or topic.
The structure I’ve set up for publishing articles is such that as I move forward, I can create even more internal links.
Right now, with around 700 articles, there are probably about 3,500 internal links — and all of them are truly relevant.

In terms of content authorship, I’ve created four separate authors with complete profiles. I did this about a month ago—before that, all articles were published under one user. I redistributed the content among the new author accounts after creating them.

The key point is, I’ve been heavily active and focused on quality content. I’ve even made available 9 premium legal tools that are usually paid, completely free and online through my website. In other words, I’m offering real services.


Additionally, for the purpose of building EEAT, I’ve also started developing a mobile app and browser extensions—all of which are very recent initiatives.

I wouldn’t jump straight to “sandbox,” but yeah, Google’s definitely not fully trusting your site yet. High volume can backfire if depth and EEAT aren’t clearly established, especially in a sensitive niche like law.

The average position says your pages are visible but not competitive. Fast indexing of even trivial stuff like empty social links shows Google’s crawling you actively, but it’s not rewarding your content with real visibility. That’s usually a trust signal issue. You’ve only been building links and pushing EEAT seriously for a month: that’s not enough time for Google to shift perception. Authority takes longer to build, especially when you started with a near-empty site.

Forget the daily grind for a second. Focus on quality, real expertise, and stronger backlinks. Double down on YouTube, LinkedIn, and real engagement; not just posting, but interacting. The content may be better than competitors, but if Google doesn’t see trust, it won’t rank. Give it time, clean up the strategy, and let authority grow organically. my thoughts too, I genuinely think it's a trust issue, otherwise the entire site would have plummeted if it was a harsh penalty, or - if it were a mild penalty - only the penalized pages would suffer while the rest of the site continuing to function as usual...

GSC doesn't always show all of the links. As long as both Wiki links are indexed they're doing their job even if they don't both show up in your GSC. So don't stress over this...

Also, Wiki links are pretty safe, so I don't think they're the cause of your problem. And if they were indeed the cause, they would either affect the entire site, or only the pages where these links point to, they definitely wouldn't affect only new published content while keeping everything else intact.

if the "link building effort" you're talking about are the 2 Wiki links then you're fine, this doesn't look like a penalty caused by backlinks for the exact same reason that I keep mentioning: link penalties either affect the linked to pages, or the entire site, they don't affect only newly published content while everything else is intact. So, once again, it's either a trust, or a google update issue, I genuinely can't think of anything else that has these effects that you're seeing...

but this might not be good. You need to make the internal links natural, not exact match. You can make some of the links exact match, but not all of them, so I think this might be one of the issues.

Go through the previously created links that are using exact matches and change their anchor text to something else (you should vary the links words and positions as much as possible, you can keep some of the links - 3-5% of them for example - with exact match anchors, but the rest of them should be generic / partial matches as much as possible)

ok! Although, I'd still not make 4 or 5 links with each post, like clockwork. Remember that google are good at detecting patterns and when it comes to SEO one of the safest ways to avoid penalties is to avoid creating patterns. Randomness and chaos are good when it comes to the "precise" science of SEO, so try to avoid patterns when they're not needed (and when making links patterns are definitely not good)

I thought about telling you to have more authors if you wish to continue publishing 7 articles a day. And multiple authors would be a good thing indeed. But only if they're genuine.

If your 4 "other" authors have the same email / IP google can probably see this and be able to tell that you're trying to fake it, which could hurt your site. I think that, in this particular regard, it's best to either go with 1 author or multiple ones but which are real humans, otherwise it could affect your EEAT scores as you're trying to game the system and EEAT exists precisely for transparency reasons

again, I don't know what to make with this info as I don't think it's related to the main issue of your site. But hey, kudos to you if you're so active, hopefully you manage to reap the rewards because - I will be honest - you're putting a lot of work into this, so it would suck for something bad to happen to it. I think I would be devastated if this happened to me... actually, this is part of the reason for which I've stopped doing SEO, I just can't take google's constantly moving goal posts anymore...

But if you manage to make all of these things work, genuine congrats! It shows that you really care about providing value to your users, and that's always commendable

Anyway, to sum it up...

- change the exact match anchors of most of your internal links to generic / partial match anchors (and resubmit the sitemap to your GSC after doing this, maybe this will help google recrawl those pages to rediscover the new anchors and, hopefully, will resume ranking your pages)

- slow the publishing of content down for a while (try only 1-2 articles a day for about 2 weeks and see if it makes any difference). Also, if possible, please try to randomize the number of articles, don't publish 7 articles a day like clockwork, I don't think this is helping you...

- if these things don't help, I am 99% certain it's a trust and / or EEAT issue at that point, which you can slowly work towards building at your own pace while you enjoy the current rankings.

By the way, throughout this thread I kept saying "current rankings" because - from your screenshot - it looks like your stats have not gone down, so I assume you are still ranking and enjoying organic traffic from the old pages, but if you've actually lost all rankings then this might be a different issue altogether. So, please do confirm that it's only the recently published content that's not ranking while everything else is OK!

Could be, your site may be in Google’s sandbox. This is common for new sites, especially in competitive niches like legal, even with quality content.

Try to keep building EEAT, gain backlinks slowly, and stay consistent. Traffic should improve with time, usually around 6–12 months.

Thanks for the mention. Muvera is different to earlier site-wide ranking drops. It targets satellite pages that deviate from the niche or topic of site. They probably brought it to counter parasites targeting edu/gov sites. If a web hosting reviews site publishes a post on dogs, Muvera reduces it's rank. If specific satellite pages were affected, it could be due to this update. If it's a site-wide ranking drop, then there could be other reasons.

We can counter it by creating topic clusters and interlinking pages.

Ahrefs traffic estimates are helpful but never definitive. I use them to shortlist sites, then dig deeper. I check how often they publish, whether posts are indexed quickly, and whether old pages still rank. Real traffic isn't always visible in the tools - manual review always gives better context.

Since it's been about 3 months since I originally posted this thread, I wanted to give an update. Right now, my traffic has almost tripled compared to back then. However, I'm facing a similar issue again — a kind of "stuck in place" situation, just with a different flavor this time.

First off, thanks to @tazarbm for the helpful input.

During this time, I went back carefully and updated all internal links, replacing exact matches with more natural anchors. I also added some free tools ( law related tools ) to the site, which brought in a consistent ~5% of daily traffic via direct visits.

But here's the issue: for the past 2 months, traffic has pretty much plateaued. What's odd is that impressions have dropped by nearly 50%, yet traffic numbers have remained almost the same. All of this happened despite the fact that I've published around 300 new pieces of content during this period.

And to be clear — this is the first time I've experienced such a sharp drop in impressions.

The weird part is, I’m publishing long-tail keyword articles that clearly target topics with very little competition in Google. So you'd expect them to rank easily. But in many cases, even when the top results (positions 2, 3, 4, 5) aren't really relevant, my article still doesn’t make it to #1, or even close (sometimes)

I’m now in the 8th month of working on this project. I’ve been very cautious with backlinks only building the ones that looked natural and high-quality. So far, I’ve accumulated around 167 in total.

Honestly, it feels like Google is resisting in some way as if the site is still in some sort of sandbox.

Do you see anything unusual in this data? Has anyone experienced something similar?

The sandbox officially confirmed but new domains often behave like they throttled If your content is good and your links are clean you should see movement within 2 3 months Keep everything natural and avoid big backlink spikes
