Over the past few months, I've noticed a significant increase in threads discussing X/Twitter.

Is it now one of the most effective ways to generate income, and is it truly worth the effort?

It's not that effective ways to make money. It's a social media platform which can give you good engagement.

The ad revenue sharing is good but you need a big following to see serious money.

It is a social media platform, it gives you engagement, likes, followers instead of good income.

Based on my analysis, it's only worthwhile in a few specific niches, and these are mostly NSFW.

Plus, you need to be chronically online or have a team operating across different time zones. I’ve seen someone with 100 million impressions earn $4,000 in the X pay cycle, so this requires significant, consistent effort.

It can be adapted to work with other niches, but it primarily only performs well in NSFW niches, which demand a tremendous amount of effort. As a result, it's not really suitable for someone just starting out, imo.

Twitter is good if you have big accounts, perhaps buying bigger pages is the fast route, if you wanna grow it organically don't expect results within 1-2 years depending on the nische and method.

X/Twitter is hot right now—especially for personal branding, affiliate pushes, and SaaS promos.
Threads and short viral posts drive traffic fast if you stay consistent.
Monetization works best via email capture + offers, not just direct selling.
It’s worth it, but only if you play long-term and provide real value in your niche.

If you’re consistent and strategic it’s defintely worth it. Twitter is still one of the top platforms for traffic conversion, especially in the crypto/web3 niche.

Tbh yeah, X has gotten way more attention lately ’cause people are seeing quick wins with niches like adult, crypto, AI, etc. It can make money, but it’s not “easy money” — you still need a strategy, warm-up, content + either selling something or driving traffic somewhere. It’s worth it if you’re consistent and patient, but if you just expect to post a few tweets and cash in, it fizzles out fast. Think of it more as a long-game platform where networking + building an audience pays off. Some people are killing it, others burn out quick.

X/Twitter can work really well for making money, but only if you stay active, build trust, and share value.

If you can create a X profile with a decent amount of followers and reach, you can monetize it. Same applies for basically any relevant local or global social media, nothing out of ordinary

It is a social media platform, it gives you engagement, likes, followers , not significant money.
