Subject: PlugCart/SEMrush clones - How do they sell premium plugins & SEO tools so cheap? (Legit??)

Hey community! I'm shook seeing sites like PlugCart.net offering premium WordPress plugins (Elementor Pro, WP Rocket, etc.) and SEO tools (SEMrush clones) for 90-95% off retail prices. Examples:

• $200 plugins for $3-5
• "Lifetime" SEMrush alternatives at $15/mo
• Nulled themes with "active licenses"

MY QUESTIONS:
1️⃣ LEGALITY: How is this possible without lawsuits? I know WordPress is GPL, but what about proprietary assets/fonts?
2️⃣ BUSINESS MODEL: Are they just buying one license and nulling/reselling? Where's the catch?
3️⃣ RISKS: Anyone actually used these? Do they:
- Contain malware?
- Stop working after updates?
- Get your site blacklisted?
4️⃣ ETHICS: Is this stealing from developers or "fair use" under GPL loopholes?

ESPECIALLY CURIOUS ABOUT SEO TOOLS:

How can SEMrush clones offer similar data at 1/10th the price? Are they scraping illegally or just delivering junk data?

Drop your experiences/insights below!
*(Especially if you've been burned or found legit alternatives)*

1️⃣ Legality: GPL covers code, not assets (fonts, APIs); plugins can be resold, but it’s a legal gray area.
2️⃣ Model: Most buy 1 license, null/remove checks, then resell—often violating terms.
3️⃣ Risks: Yes—many include malware, break on updates, or cause SEO issues.
4️⃣ Ethics: Debatable—technically legal under GPL, but hurts developers.

SEMrush clones usually scrape public data or use shared API keys, often unreliable or shut down fast. Use with caution.
