I will say this, I used to live in fear of that C&D letter. I never had a good FB viral method aside from a 50k group that lasted a few days, so that never worried me. However back in March 2010 I did work out my own wall spamming method that generated pretty good money. I proceeded to post on 300 of the most popular (most 500k+ and many 1mil+) Facebook pages where wall posts showed up on the front page. I spammed with the xact same profile picture, exact message and it linked to some nude pics blocked by AAN gateway. So I was always real paranoid, people would complain about the porn and stuff but I kept doin it. I would create accounts over and over again and post at least 600+ wall messages daily.
I kept it up for exactly 3 months then moved on. I think it helps that I was not the only wall spammer, but I still felt risky because literally if you went to any of those pages you woulda seen my girl almost no matter what. It would always be named Amanda "something" with "Check out my sexy pics hxxp
url). I just felt that blantantly spamming like that was risky, but I had to make money and I loved making it so easily. So no C&D however.

I've haven't gotten one yet, and I've seriously infected fb with my shit. People do get them though. I know of someone who got it one day before payout (the network also got contacted by P&C so that meant 6 figures down the crapper OUCH). Hopefully that never happens to me lol.
I think you need to be inflicting serious automated carnage on a massive scale if you really want to get the attention of the brass at the top. Use thousands of accounts and scale up MoneyMakerMatt's wall posting to include millions of peoples profiles and I bet you will get one.

c&d is a cease and desist notice.
i've researched the lawsuits that facebook has filed (and won) against spammers, and all of them were because the people were using other people's accounts (stolen/phised accounts) to blast messages and to walls.
so i would assume that, for the moment, fb is only interested in nailing people that hijack other people's accounts.

I dont promote on facebook. But word to the wise. There will always be the possibility of being bitten. The most important thing is to cover your tracks. That small slip up you make of not blanking refferers not spreading over enough accounts, not hiding behind a proxy, is what can lead to that one C&D letter that destroys all your hardwork and potential. Dont get lazy.

Why not dawg I always get paid. If you do it with ************** you gota make sure it is not nude though.
What network took a 3rd parties word and didn't pay? Was it an Ad network or a MLM?

It was a big CPA network, the same network that we can't talk about here (we all know who that is).. So be careful if you are earning really big with them..

You are correct; they have bigger fish to fry. Not to mention their privacy issues and the fact that they are trying to take over the internet. They also have some serious competition coming from Google in the near future.
I know people who have received Cease and Desist letters from FB. Trust me, you can hide behind proxies, accounts, etc. all you want. They follow the money trail, they do not waste their time with other crap. Bottom line, if you are not anonymous with your CPA network, you are not 100% safe.
This is exactly why I do not promote them. I seriously suggest no one else does either.
